PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS

CEMTEC BRUSHCOAT is a pre-packed two component polymer modified cementitious

coating, which cures to form a breathable protective coating with high wear and weather
resistance properties.

Properties Results

Compressive strength 38.6 N/mm2

Flexural strength 11 N/mm2

Tensile Strength 5 N/mm2

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Surface Preparation
 The preparation of surface to receive CEMTEC BRUSHCOAT must be given
careful attention as the bonding capabilities is primarily dependent on proper
surfaced preparation.

 The surface to be coated with CEMTEC BRUSHCOAT should be clean, free of

loose particle, surface contaminants such as dust, dust, laitance, oil, curing
compound, etc., detrimental to bond of cementitious coating.

 Surface shall be prepared mechanically to achieve a surface profile of CSP4.

 Spalled and deeply disintegrated concrete should be removed to sound

concrete and reinstated with CMCI repair mortar.

 All surfaces should be pre-wetted with clean water and left in SSD condition at time
of application.
Mixing:

 The liquid component shall be poured into a larger container (25 Ltrs capacity) and
the powder component shall be slowly added, mixed with a slow speed heavy duty
drill fitted and mixing paddle, to a homogeneous mix.

 Care should be exercised to mix gradually the powder component to the liquid to
avoid lump formation and mix for 3 to 5 minutes.

 Mixed material to be used within the pot life (1 hours @ 35 0C)

2/ 3
Application:

 Ensure the surface to be treated with CEMTEC BRUSHCOAT is in SSD condition

with any standing water.

 The mixed material shall be applied using brush or trowel.

 First coat shall be applied @ 1mm WFT and allow to cure for 4 to 5 hours @ 30 0C.

 Second coat shall be applied at perpendicular to the first coat.

Clean-Up

Clean all tools and equipment with water immediately after use.
