Dear Parents/Guardians: October 2020

Next week we will be celebrating National Red Ribbon Week (October 26-30,
2020). The Red Ribbon drug prevention campaign has become a celebration proclaimed
by Congress to show the intolerance for drugs in our schools, work place, and
communities. We have included a schedule for the activities that are planned for our
students. In addition to drug awareness information provided in the classroom and
guidance classes, the following activities are scheduled:

All click students: A red ribbon and sticker will be available for all click students to pick
up, October 21-23rd (8:00am - 4:00pm) outside the school. The ribbons and stickers will be
in baggie, inside a container, outside the front door of the school.

During morning announcements National Red Ribbon Week information will be


discussed along with the schedule of events. Red Ribbons will be given to all students to
wear each day.

MONDAY – OCTOBER 26 – RED RIBBON DAY/WEAR RED DAY—


Students wear red attire to kick-off Red Ribbon week. Dress in as much red as you can.
The classroom with the most red clothing on will receive Red Licorice Treats.

TUESDAY – OCTOBER 27 – “SEND A MESSAGE, STAY DRUG FREE!


Remind friends to take care of their body and to keep it healthy.

WEDNESDAY – OCTOBER 28 – “JOIN THE DRUG FREE ARMY”


Wait… where’d all the students go??? Students are invited to wear camouflage.

THURSDAY – OCTOBER 29- “LIVING DRUG FREE IS NO SWEAT”
Students are invited to wear sweatshirts to school today.

FRIDAY – OCTOBER 30 – “SOCK-IT TO DRUGS”-


Students are invited to wear CRAZY socks.
