6 ways to open your business back post lockdown

The present prevailing situation of Covid-19 and the rising coronavirus cases each day had really
changed our way of life and had severely interfered into our daily routines. In order to control the
infection rates and to curb down the death rates in the country, the government had no other choice
but to take some serious preventive measures, imposing a lockdown all over the country.
But the lockdown cannot be the ultimate solution to prevent the coronavirus cases. So, until and
unless the vaccine or antidotes are made, we have to live with the virus. The lockdown will be lifted
sooner or later and once again the business will have to reopen and measures like infrared
thermometer scanning, sanitizing with isopropyl disinfectants (at least 65-70% alcohol content) and
paying through digital payment methods must be taken in order to minimize infection rates.
So, here are the 6 strategies you can follow to open your business safely and without any risk of
coronavirus infection post lockdown.

1.Work from home

One of the key rules to be safe from the risk of coronavirus infection both during and the post
lockdown period is to work from home, if one can. So, if some of your employees can execute their
routine work efficiently from their rooms only, it’s absolutely fine and you should take necessary
steps to assist these employees in all situations.

2.Mandatory carrying out of Covid-19 assessments

An easy but effective measure the organization should undertake to prevent the spread of coronavirus
is to mandate the health assessment of the employees as well as the customers through infrared
thermometer and government recognized Covid-19 detection apps like Arogya Setu. It should be
made mandatory for both the customers and the employees to install the government recognized
Covid-19 detection apps in their smart phones and they must be marked “safe to travel” by the app in
order to enter the office.

3.Sanitaization is mandatory
Sanitization of your employees, customers and as well as regular sanitization of your store is
mandatory. The sanitization of employees and customers must be done in a separate chamber prior to
the entry into the main building using the isopropyl disinfectant (sanitizers) but the alcohol content
must be 65-70% as recommended by the WHO.

4.Social distancing to be maintained in the office

The thumb rule of social distancing must be maintained in your office. The employees must not sit or
stand close to one another and must maintain the recommended distance of 2 metres from one
another as preventive measures. The customers should also be advised not to stand too close to one
another.
5.Use of masks and hand gloves are to be made compulsory
The use of masks and hand gloves must be made compulsory for your employees as well as the
customers and one should not enter the organization without proper protective measures.

6.Use of proper protective barriers in certain sections of the store

Proper protective barriers made of glass or hard polymers must be installed in the billing and help
sections and payments through digital payment methods should be made mandatory in almost all
cases except a few exceptions.
