 Taught Preschool through 8th grade Instrumental Music.


 Designed and implemented new programs and performance opportunities for the school.
o 2014 – 2015
 Started Concert Band middle school elective.
 New curriculum for Preschool through 1st grade Instrumental Music.
 Started Instrumental Music Survey
 Process that took every elementary student, grade by grade, through an
instrumental survey pursuing different families of instruments (recorder, ukulele,
beginning strings, beginning band) to confidently choose what music opportunities
they want to pursue in middle school.
o 2015 – 2016
 Added the Concert Band to schoolwide pep rallies.
o 2016 – 2017
 Enrolled Concert Band in an annual fundraiser where students perform the National
Anthem at an Angels Game.
 Started a before-school String Orchestra for 5th-8th grade students.
o 2018 – 2019
 Founded a new Christmas Carol and Dessert Night concert series.
 Implemented a donor incentive program that encourages the community to donate to our
program, and rewards them for doing so.
o 2019 – 2020
 Started an after-school middle school Drumline.
 Drumline performed on a float in the Tiller Days Parade and Angels Game fundraiser.
 String Orchestra auditioned for, and performed at, Knott’s Merry Farm.
 Became Specialty Teacher – Lead.
 Took on communication and organizational responsibilities for all Specialty (P.E.,
Spanish, Art, Choral Music, Instrumental Music, Drama, STEM, Bible, Resource,
and Electives).
o 2020 - 2021
 Expanded role of Specialty Teacher - Lead by performing official observations of
multiple specialty teachers, and assisted Assistant Principal with official observations of
staff in other departments. Aided individual specialty teachers find content-specific
professional development opportunities.
 Became the point-person for the student AV team, in-charge of streaming chapels and
other school events including the school's ARISS/NASA event.
Sales Associate - Bertrand’s Music (Mission Viejo, CA) (2011 – 2014)

 Providing excellent customer service. Assisting customers to find the right product for them, including
accessories to life-time instruments. Executing minor instrument repair.

Private Trumpet Instructor (Self-employed) (2008 – 2015)

 Instructing trumpet players of all ages on how to play the trumpet correctly and beautifully. Leading
students through specific pedagogy depending on their musical situation. Teaching at Bertrand’s Music
Lesson Studios as well as students’ homes.

Student Worker for the Music Department –Concordia University (2012 – 2014)

 Behind the scenes work for music department. Organizing Inventory and monitoring who is using
certain equipment. Music Librarian duties for Wind Orchestra and Sinfonietta music.

Music Coach – Capistrano Valley High School (2008-2011)

 Music Coach for the marching band including leading full ensemble warm-up and brass sectionals.
Lead drumline and colorgaurd sectionals. Instructed marching technique. Lead trumpet and brass
sectionals for the Wind Ensemble and Concert Band.
 Their Marching Band received the “Musical Excellence” award at championships in 2010.

 Principal Trumpet in the Concordia Wind Orchestra, Concordia Sinfonietta, and the Concordia Brass for
2 years.
 Student leader of the Concordia Jazz Combo for 1 year.
 Tenor section leader of the Concordia Choir for 1 year.
 Concordia Choir Vice President for 1 year. Plan fundraisers for Concordia Choir’s Italy Tour.
 Chosen to perform in Concordia’s Music Major Honor’s Recital twice on trumpet with two honorable
mentions for voice.
