I. OBJECTIVES:
- By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
-identify the topic of the unit, the topic of the lesson the situation fot the conversation
between two friends Nick and Mi.
-identify the lexical items related to types of house(town house,country house), rooms
and furniture.
-list the main information about Nick’s and Mi’s houses by skimming and scanning.
2. Competences:
-talk about their houses and describe what types of house they live in,using present
simple tense and prepositions of place.
3.Attributes:
-show their positive attitudes and responsibility for their house
-express their love to the members in their family and their furniture, rooms in their
house .
-develope their communication and collabration skills .
II. TEACHING AIDS:
- Teacher: Text book Global Success (Pearson) - a situation picture (the picture on page
16), Audio track 12 (English 6 – Unit 2 – Page16-17),laptop, louspeaker, TV
Sheets of A3 format paper, link: check vocab, fill in the blanks, brainstorm

III. PROCEDURE:

ACTIVITY 1: WARM UP : Crossword puzzle :( 3’- 5’)


Aims: By the end of this activity, students will be able to name some vocabularies that
they have just learned to find out the key word and eager to study in the next activities.

-T introduces the game and the way to

- Divides the class into two groups
-SS in each group works individually to
choose number, look at the picture and
find out the word.
- 5 points for the group finds out the word
in the picture.
-10 points for the group finds out the key
word.
-The winner will get many points.
-T checks and lead in the new lesson.

ACTIVITY 2: PRESENTATION:(10’-12’)
Aims:By the end of this activity,students will be able to identify the situation and
language materials (new vocabulary items related to the types of houses), develop their
critical thinking skills (guessing/ reasoning).

Aims: By the end of this activity, Students will be able to talk about the place where
they live.

Task 1: Brainstorming
Ask SS to work in pairs to complete the country
word web about types of house in their house

-Have students work in group to take
turns to ask and answer about where
they live.

sentence .
-Talk about the houses they know .
2. What’re the core values of the lesson?
-show their love to the members in their family and their furniture, rooms in their house
to recognize that house is the happinest place.

Homework:
- Remind students to learn vocab by heart , practicing the dialogue and prepare A closer
