1.0 Purpose
This procedure defines the method and principles for erection of prefabricated buildings, and
containers that are applied to ensure the specification and procedural quality requirements are
met.
2.0 Scope
The procedure applies to method and principles for erection of prefabricated buildings, and
containers that applied for “KONTINENT Inshaat” construction of social apartments Project in
Khatai district.
All finishing works such as masonry, block work, plastering, painting, tiling, screeding, etc. which
are covered in the Cast-In Place Buildings Procedure Doc. No.: KON-8.2-QA-PRO-0017 are not
in the scope of this Procedure.
3.0 Definitions
Project: “KONTINENT Inshaat” construction of social apartments Project in
Khatai district.
Contractor: “KONTINENT Inshaat”
Company: “KONTINENT Inshaat” Main Office
Standards: All technical standards or codes referenced in Project QMS
Documents.
Drawing &Specifictions: Technical specifications and drawings issued by “KONTINENT
Inshaat” or third party
Approved: The revision of the related Contractor’s Procedure, Plan, or other
documents, which were approved by Construction Director.

4.0 Responsibilities
Construction Manager is responsible for erection of prefabricated buildings in accordance with
this procedure.
5.0 Process
5.1 Safety Requirements
There will be a task risk assessment carried out to ensure that all risks and hazards are identified
and record the necessary mitigation measures needed to make sure the job can be carried out
safely.
5.2 Installation
Prefabricated Buildings
Unloading and storage of the materials shall be in accordance with the erection order and near to
the foundation of building as applicable. Care should be taken to avoid any deformation of the
materials during the storage and piling.
Before placing U shape connection parts, foundation shall be marked.
U shaped bottom connection parts shall be placed on panel junctions and fixed to the concrete
foundation by steel anchor bolts (expansion). Drilling of the foundation for anchor bolts shall be
done by hammer drill. Size of the drill bit shall be compatible with the anchor bolt.
Installation of the external panels shall be started from any corner of the foundation.
To prevent any collapsing, the panels shall be placed on both sides of the corner.

Installation of the internal panels and external panels shall be preformed simultaneously to
provide stability.
Upon completion of panel placement, straightness of the panels shall be checked and after
necessary adjustment (if required), anchor bolts shall be tightened.
Installation of trusses and purlins shall be started after completion of fixing of all panels to the
foundation.
All nuts on all vertical bolting shall be positioned underneath.
Trapezoidal sheets which are used to close the roof shall be secured by self sealed drill tip
screws.
Openings on the trapezoidal sheets shall be filled by insulation material, covered and secured by
cover sheet.
Main frames of suspended ceiling shall be fixed to the trusses and walls by clamps and angle
brackets. Sufficient space for heat insulation and electrical works shall be left.
Windows and door shall be fixed to the frame by screws after completion of erection of
prefabricated buildings.
Screed work (if required) shall be performed in accordance with the Approved Procedure for
Cast-In Place Buildings Doc. No.: KON-8.2-QA-PRO-0017.
Suspended ceiling panels shall be installed after completion of the screed work and installation of
doors and windows.
Prefabricated Containers
Unloading and storage of the materials shall be in accordance with the erection order and near to
the foundation of building as applicable. Care should be taken to avoid any deformation of the
materials during the storage and piling.
Prior to placement of containers, levelling of the concrete foundation blocks shall be checked and
corrected if necessary.
Containers shall be placed on to the concrete blocks, which are levelled and positioned in
accordance with the related Drawing.
Windows and door shall be fixed to the frame by screws after completion of erection of container
5.3 Examinations, Tests and Reporting
Erection of prefabricated buildings and containers shall be inspected and reported in accordance
with the Inspection & Test Plan Doc. No.: XXX.
