collapsed, I think she was having a seizure!
Dispatcher: Okay, can you tell me what car you are driving?
Rain: She’s driving a Silver Kia.. Sedona!
Dispatcher: Okay, are you with anyone?

Dispatcher: Hi! I’m Krystin. What’s your name?

Ruz: I’m Ruz!
Dispatcher: Okay Ruz, is the casualty responding to you when you found her?
Ruz: No
Dispatcher: Check if she is breathing. We need to open her airway. Lay her on her
back. Kneel by her side. Gently tilt her forehead back with one hand to lift the chin.
Narrator: This is the Head tilt - chin lift.

Dispatcher: Scan the victim from head to abdomen for breathing. Your ear is going to be near
her mouth..your eyes are going to observing her chest rises and falls. Do you hear her gasping?

Dispatcher: Place the heel of your hand on the lower half of the sternum. And then place the
other hand over the first. Interlace your fingers. Okay. Now, straighten your arms and position
your shoulders over her chest.
Ruz:Okay, got it!
Dispatcher. Use your body weight to push the chest down about 2 inches..You will do 100
compressions for a minute. Count out loud! Start!

Ruz: (Counting out loud the number of chest compressions). (STAYING ALIVE SONG)
Dispatcher: Rain, or someone who is there, finds a piece of cloth to use for mouth to mouth
resuscitation.

Dispatcher: Good job Ruz! Tilt the head back and lift the chin. Pinch her nose closed and place
the handkerchief over mouth. Now, perform mouth to mouth resuscitation. Blow into her mouth
to make the CHEST RISE. Give her 2 rescue breaths. And then start with the compressions
again.

Narrator: Note: If the chest does not rise with the initial rescue breath, re-tilt the head before
delivering the second breath. If the chest doesn't rise with the second breath, the person may
be choking. After each subsequent set of 30 chest compressions, and before attempting
breaths, look for an object and, if seen, remove it.

Narrator: Continue Rescue Breathing

Dispatcher: After 30 compressions, give two more rescue breaths. And continue until EMS has
arrived.
Ruz: Okay!, I’m getting tired… what should I do?
Dispatcher: Is there someone you can switch out with?
Ulrika: I can!
Dispatcher: Great! Get ready after Ruz’s done with that cycle.
