1. How would you evaluate the Agricultural constraints in the Philippines. Kindly give
examples and explain. (10points)
In the Philippines, the agricultural sector has been declining over the years. A
greater challenge is low agricultural productivity. Long-term challenges to productivity
include limited access to credit and agricultural insurance, low farm mechanization and
inadequate post-harvest facilities, insufficient irrigation, and insufficient support for
research and development. In addition, there is a lack of connectivity between
production areas and markets. At the same time, climate change is having an impact on
the agricultural sector in the Philippines. As the result of flooding, typhoon, and other
natural disasters, many agricultural products have been wasted.

3. How can you apply and illustrate the Societal marketing concept assuming that you
have a banana plantation in Tagum. (10 points)

than the hazardous pesticide.
Defective bananas that can`t be
sold will be decomposed to be
use as fertilizer.
