Credentials. These release notes are a general overview of the most significant changes relating to ABAP
Development Tools (ADT) features in the context of ABAP development and the ABAP programming
models.
The following features that are highlighted with '*' are client-specific and are therefore available for all
supported ABAP systems.
ABAP Development Tool provides features that are client-specific or require a specific back-end version.
Consequently, this overview covers all client-specific and back-end-specific dependencies. To highlight
and contrast back-end-specific help content in the relevant context, the following icons are used:
You as an ABAP CDS tools expert can now use the tips and tricks provided for the ABAP CDS tools. This
documentation provides condensed concept and task information from ADT features which might have
a positive impact on your development activities in a more effective way.
The content is structured in a tabular way that supports you finding the relevant content easily.
For more information, see Tips and Tricks (ABAP CDS Tools)
You can now create ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) checks, check variants and check categories. For this
purpose, you can use the corresponding new development objects: ATC checks (CHKO), ATC check
variants (CHKV), and ATC check categories (CHKC). For each of these development objects, a creation
wizard and an editor is provided.
ATC check variants specify the ATC checks and their configuration which shall be used during an ATC
check run. You can choose the checks you want to enable in your check variant and edit their respective
parameters.
ATC Checks
ATC checks inherit their parameters from their respective implementing class. They can be grouped into
check categories. Checks and check categories can be added to check variants.
The possibility to create your own ATC checks is only available on request via feature toggle. To request
the activation of this feature, create a customer ticket on component BC-CP-ABA.
