Refer to PCAR Parts 4, 5, 6, & 8 and answer the following questions.

1. Enumerate and define the six nationality and registration marks used in the Philippines.
• RP - for governmental purposes, except those belonging to the Philippine Army

7. Accessory ratings

3. An aircraft is eligible for registration if it is owned by or leased to a corporation organized


under the laws of the Philippines at least sixty per centum of whose capital is owned by
Filipino citizens.
4. For unmanned free balloons, the operator shall apply marks to appear on the identification
plate.
5. A Continuing Airworthiness is a set of processes by which aircraft, engine, propeller, or
part complies with the applicable airworthiness requirements and remains in condition for
safe operation throughout its life.
6. A Return to Service (RTS) is a document signed by an authorized representative of an
approved maintenance organization in respect of an inspection, repair, or modification on a
complete aircraft, engine or propeller.
7. A Special Flight Permit is effective for the period specified in the permit.
8. Class I Aeronautical Product include Aircraft, Engine, and Propeller.
9. No person may schedule a person performing maintenance functions for aircraft for more
than twelve (12) consecutive hours of duty.
10. An annual inspection program may be used for non-complex aircraft with a maximum
take-off mass of less than 5,700 kg that are not used in commercial air transport.
11. A progressive inspection program may be used for aircraft with a maximum take-off
mass of less than 5,700 kg.
12. VSO means stalling speed or the minimum steady flight speed in the landing configuration.
13. A certificated approved maintenance organization that applies for a renewal of its CAAP
approved maintenance organization certificate must submit its request for renewal no later
than 60 days before its current certificate expires.
14. Technical information approved by the Authority is called approved data.
15. For spherical balloons, the operator shall apply marks to appear in two places diametrically
opposite each other and located near the maximum horizontal circumference of the
balloon.
16. AOC means Air Operator Certificate.
17. Experimental certificates are issued for the following purposes: research and development,
showing compliance to regulations, crew training, exhibition, air racing, market surveys,
and operating amateur-built or kit-built aircraft.

18. A Certificate or Rating issued to an Approved Maintenance Organization is valid for 2 years
from the date of issuance subject to the compliance with the Procedures Manual and the
provisions of PCAR.
19. A certificate of return to service shall contain: (1) basic details of the maintenance carried
out; (2) the date such maintenance was completed; and (3) the identity of the AMO
and certifying staff issuing the certificate.

Honesty Clause:
The students are expected to accept and maintain principles of intellectual and academic honesty as members of the
academic community. The institution believes that students are truthful as a basic and necessary standard of conduct
in academic matters, and that they only submit the results of their own efforts for credit.
