Detailed Lesson Plan in TLE – 7

INDUSTRIAL ARTS – ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the 60 minute discussion, 80 % of the students are expected to:
a) identify the electrical tools and equipments needed to accomplish
systematically an electrical task
b) value the importance of electrical tools and equipments by sharing it to
others; and
c) point out the electrical tools and equipments used in electrical task within 10
minutes.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

TOPIC: Electrical Tools and Equipment

References : K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum Technology and Livelihood Education


Learning Module – Electrical Installation and Maintenance , pp. 10 – 15

Materials: Powerpoint Presentation, Laptop, Monitor, Chalk and Board, Real Objects

Teaching Strategy:Lecture Method, Discovery Method, Collaborative Method

Approach: Inductive Method ( Herbartian Method)

Value Focus: Awareness on the differences between Tools and Equipments used in Electical
Tasks.

Good morning class! Good Morning Sir!

To start our day, Let’s us all stand and have


an opening prayer first. Will you lead us ( Sam will construct her own prayer)

Motivation

Class before we proceed to our topic, I


prepared a game for you which is entitled “
Minute to Accomplish It”, The class will be
divided into 6 groups To minimize the time,
(point outs group of the students) this is the
group 1,2,3,4,5,6. Class listen to the
instructions, Each group must have one
representative to come here in front to
choose among these envelopes. These
envelopes contains some cut pictures and all
you have to do is assembled it on the
construction paper that I’ve given you within
1 minute and you have to post it on the
board. Is that clear class? The winning group
will receive a prize from me.

equipments use in performing electrical
tasks. But before we proceed, we need to
define first what is the difference between
tools and equipments. Now anyone who

 SCREW DRIVERS. These tools are


made of steel hardened and tempered
at the tip used to loosen or tighten
screws with slotted heads. They come
in various sizes and shapes.

wedge-shaped and resembles a
negative (-) sign. This is used to drive
screws with a single slot head

an electrical task and these tools needs
maintenance and stored properly in order to
prolong it’s life and become more functional
when using it.

Now, I will show you an object which is used
in Electrical installation. If you know the
name of the tool, just raise your hands do not
