1. Jose Jason Llagas Chancoco

-Jose Jason Chancoco is a resident of Naga City, Camarines Sur. He teaches English, Tagalog /
Filipino, Iriganon, and Bikol-Naga at Ateneo de Naga University and writes in English, Tagalog /
Filipino, Iriganon, and Bikol-Naga. Pagsasatubuanan: Poetikang Bikolnon (Bicol Literary
Criticism) was published in 2008 by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and was
awarded the Premio Bibiano Sabino para sa Librong Bikolnon as a pioneering work on Bikol
poetics. His work has been published in a variety of magazines, journals, and anthologies on a
national and international level. He has received awards for his poetry, fiction, and drama from
organizations such as the Maningning Miclat Award for Poetry, Talaang Ginto: Gawad Surian sa
Tula, Gantimpalang Collantes, Premio Tomas Arejola para sa Bikolnon (Bikol Literature), Gawad
"Soc" Rodrigo 2007 (from the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino and the National Commission for
Culture and the Arts), and Homelife Magazine Poetry Contest, among others.

I swear we know each other well.

SOME BEER AND PLANET NIBURU

Some call you the “Winged One.”
You seem to fly in and out
of Earth’s Solar System,
or so the Mayans say.
You orbited nearby
with your battle-oriented giants
with pointed heads
causing trouble, crushing planets to bits
depositing memories to the Asteroid Belt.

-Honesto "Jun" Pesimo, Jr. is a Bicolano writer, teacher and the author of Bagyo sa
Oktubre (2009) His poem was among the works included in the book Sagurong: 100 na
Kontemporanyong Rawitdawit sa Manlain-lain na Tataramon Bikol.\
