Business Plan Assignment

Getting Started
1. Conduct a personal evaluation to determine why you want to start a business.
Actually I was never think about to make a business, but accidently last year until now
there’s pandemic that makes all the people got suffer including my parents and I. So, I
decided to build a business plan to help my parents getting more income and plus there’s
a college assignment that make me supposed to do this.

2. Create a business plan.

a. What do we do?
In this case I would like to sell a cloth product. It’s called thrift shop.
b. How do we do it?
Start finding a market place that sells a ‘bal’ product and sorting the product. Then
we can resell it with a good condition and set the new price.
c. Who do we serve?
This kind of product can be reach by any ages from the kid until middle-age.

3. Conduct a SWOT analysis to identify your strengths, weakness, opportunities, and

threats.
Strengths : This business strengths are they never get old and these past few years many
people are looking for it. Also, everyone needs a clothing, right?
Weakness: Sometimes there’re a bad luck from the ‘bal’ such as ripped t-shirt, the colour
is blended, etc. This business also has many competitors, because a lot of
people already start it.
Opportunities: There’re some opportunities by taking this business like if we already
found the best market place and they all goods with their stuff. We probably
can make an easy money by reselling them. After that, we don’t need a huge
place and many things to do this business.
Threats : The threats are we can get fooled by the ‘bal’ seller and we can easily corrupt
if we don’t know how to manage this business correctly.

4. Assess how much capital you have available to invest.

Basically, we don’t need a lot of things to buy for invest, just buy a ‘bal’ from the seller
and prepared for resell it. But before we resell it, there’re some things that we must do
such as sorting, re-wash, and make the stuff looks like a new one.
At least we have to invest around Rp 500.000,00 until Rp 5.000.000,00. It’s depends on
what ‘bal’ that we want to buy and finding a good market place.

5. Discuss your plans with family members to ensure they are behind you.
To be honest I haven’t discussed with them. But as soon as possible, I will do it and
hopefully they agreed about my business idea.

6. Determine if you want the business to be full-time or part-time

If I really do this business, I would like to do in my part-time. Because for now, I get a
lot of things to do beside this task. Also in my opinion, doing this business can be
anytime as long as we have the ‘bal’ already.
Committing To Your Business

1. Define the costumer “problem” and how your business can provide a solution in a unique
way.
The costumer problems are they want to buy a branded cloths like Adidas, Nike, H&N,
etc. but they didn’t have enough money and sometimes they also wanted a vintage or
graphic cloths. So, my business is a solution for them. I can provide them some of
branded stuff with cheaper than the retail market. Also, sometimes if I got lucky, there’re
some vintage cloths on the ‘bal’ and I can sell those in a high-price. Because a vintage
cloth with a good condition is a rare stuff.
