A laboratory thermometer is used

for measuring the temperature of
THERMOMETER liquids. It can be made of glass or it
can be a thermocouple made of
different metals.

A volumetric flask is a round flask

VOLUMETRIC with a long neck and flat bottom. It
FLASK is used to measure an exact volume
of liquid.
 A watch glass is a circular concave
piece of glass used in chemistry as a
WATCH GLASS surface to evaporate a liquid, to
hold solids while being weighed, for
heating a small amount of substance
and as a cover for a beaker.

Erlenmeyer flasks are used to

contain liquids and for mixing,
ERLENMEYER heating, cooling, incubation,
FLASK filtration, storage, and other liquid-
handling processes.

Test tubes are widely used by to

handle chemicals or specimens.
TEST TUBE Test tubes are convenient containers
for heating small amounts of liquids
or solids with a Bunsen burner or
alcohol burner. The tube is usually
held by its neck with a clamp or
tongs.

Folin-Wu tube is used to prevent

environmental contamination.
Reagent bottles are excellent for
storing powders and liquids.

solids and liquids with sizes.

medicines.

Laboratory tongs are large pincers

for grasping and lifting vessels of
heat-resistant material used in high
CLAMPS OR temperature chemical reactions.
TONGS
Clamps are used to hold round
laboratory glassware, such as a
beaker, and flasks, etc. This type of
clamp is made from stainless steel.
 Glass flasks are some of the most
commonly used pieces of scientific
GLASS FLASK glassware. You can use these flasks
to study reactions or to hold or filter
solutions.

A laboratory centrifuge is a rotor

driven instrument designed to
separate liquid samples at high rates

analyses
 Burette is a laboratory apparatus
commonly used to dispense and

analysis.

paper for laboratory use is one of
the common lab consumables. It is
FILTER PAPER normally round in shape. Filter
paper used in laboratory is often
made from cotton fiber and used to
filter components.

Goggles are the primary protectors

intended to shield the eyes against
liquid or chemical splash, irritating
SAFETY GOGGLES mists, vapors, and fumes. They
form a protective seal around the
eyes, and prevent objects or liquids
from entering under or around the
goggles.

A test tube rack is a piece of

laboratory equipment used to hold
TEST TUBE RACK multiple test tubes upright at the
same time. They are especially
useful for organizing test tubes
when different solutions are being
worked on or collected at once.

science, especially chemistry, for
holding and manipulating an
