Cases increased due to the arrogance of the people not complying

with the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)

KOTA BHARU- A press conference with Senior Defense Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri
Yaakob who wants to made a statement about the Covid -19 issue that was causing so much
consternation.

Ismail Sabri, who is Senior Minister reporting that the increasing of active case of Covid – 19
that happened in Malaysia from the Health Ministry which happens due to the attitude of the
people who like to take it easy.

In this regard, according to a researched from the Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH), the
number of instances is rising due to our own carelessness and the number of these cases
increased for four days in a row.

Apart from that, We often forget the fact that failed to comply standard operating procedures
(SOP) can lead to an increase in cases.

After the Defense Minister visited the veteran armies at the Royal Malaysian Army in Wakaf
Mek Zainab, he said that “I hope that we are not too late and the SOP for Hari Raya Aidiladha
will be announce tomorrow.

This is because, the expectations of the people who will return to the village are likely to be high
as well as result in an increased in cases and that is why the government will announce a new
SOP tomorrow

After that If the daily number of Covid 19 instances rises to three figures, the government may
consider re-enforcing the Movement Control Order (MCO), which restricts people's movement.

To conclude the press conference, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob will always remind people of
the importance of following Standard Operation Procedure on this pandemic situation.
