Proposed title for my Project Proposal: (write the proposed title for your Capstone Project in one clear
sentence): To create a cooking show that will educate me and the audience on how to cook for specific diets.
This is still a bit vague, what types of diets will you focus on?

What is your inquiry question that interests you for further research? It should be a question that
connects with a purpose, passion or personalized area of interest for you. This is a question that you cannot
just google an answer for. Please see examples from your Capstone booklet.

My inquiry question is:

How can I cook meals to fit my diet that will be tasty, not too difficult and not too expensive?

Rationale/context: Detail your reasons for choosing this inquiry question. Explain WHY you are choosing to
investigate this topic as a major area of focus. How does this area of inquiry connect to your passion(s),
purpose? Why is it of personal interest to you?

I chose this topic because I am very interested in food and different ways to prepare it. I have always been passionate
about cooking and this will be an experience that will teach me and others about different dieting options. Good is
changing so much with new research found out about how different foods effect your body so this will be a good
project to learn how good is evolving and where I can take it.

Background: What background knowledge/connections/prior learning do you have in this area of inquiry?

The background knowledge about these diets will be little to nothing, only knowing the basic concept of the
diet. Although, I am a really good cook already so I will be using all my time to be educated and master
these diets.
Career connections: What is your intended career area at this point in time? What connections does this
inquiry question have to your life, academic and/ or career goals?

I’ve always wanted to go into trades and being a chef has always been an interest of mine. This project will help
show me how capable I am to cook different food and make ingredients work today.

Interdisciplinary and core competencies connections: What subject areas and core competencies will
be connected with your project? Outline and explain the connections.

For this section you need to relate what you plan to learn (draft proposal) and then what you learned
(final proposal) to the Curricular Core Competencies, which I attached to the back page of the Draft
Proposal handout.

Capstone Presentation medium: select one or more project mediums you wish to use to present your
project. Outline and give details about how you will present your project once completed. You may use a
combination of mediums.

I would like to use YouTube for my cooking show because it will be good to divide the episodes from one
another. With your personality, I think a series of YouTube cooking shows would be entertaining and
educational. Your largest obstacle will likely be the planning, filming and editing, but if you stay on task, then
this could be really great!

Description of my Capstone project. Specific Project Details of the Capstone Project: what will you
research, create, study, produce, solve, investigate? What product will be produced at the end of this
project for evaluation. Write a one-page description outlining your proposal.
 I want to create a cooking show that will go into depth on 3 different diets, vegan, keto and Mediterranean.
This could be the basis of your Inquiry question.

Resources/ Technology/Skills: Make an assessment of the resources, technology and skills you will
need to be able to complete this project. What is your plan to be able to access/learn all of the resources
necessary to achieve completion of this project? Detail your plans.

I will need a camera, computer and my phone. With these technologies, I can edit, film, and research to
complete everything that I need for a cooking show. I also will provide the food and will use my kitchen at home.

Project limitations: What are some project limitations and potential obstacles that you foresee that might
affect progress with your Capstone Project?

I think that I have most figured out but the only obstacle that I may have is time because I want to put a lot of
time into this to perfect it because I think I can make it really good.
