BSMT 1 - ANTARES
PEMR
1. Which badminton strokes are used most frequently on the court? Choose at least 2
among the strokes.

 The 2 stroke that are used most frequently on the court are Forehand Smash
and The Clear because, Forehand Smash is the most potent of all badminton
shots. There is almost no defense against a well executed smash. It can be
played both on the forehand and backhand sides. It also generate more
power and create a steeper angle for the shot. This will give your opponent
even lesser time to react. While the attacking clear, the shuttle travels fast and
flat running almost parallel to the ground towards your opponent's rear court.
As these shots are generally executed with more speed, your opponent would
have less time to react, returning weak shuttles to your advantage.

2. Is badminton good for you? Explain!

 Badminton is a great full-body exercise. The fast movements, hops, smashes

and crunches while playing badminton will help build up your muscles to make
them leaner, stronger and fitter in no time. Regularly playing badminton can
help improve the heart muscle and reduce the risk of clogging blood vessels,
decreasing the risk of CHD [coronary heart disease]. Playing badminton will
enhance your reflexes, motor coordination, muscle endurance, strength and
flexibility.
