Pi youth Association was founded to address the many challenges encountered by young people
on everyday basis. We aim at increasing youth’s capacity, promoting positive behaviours and
developing useful skills. Every individual, between the ages of 15 and 30, who lives in Turkey
is the target group of Pi Youth Association, especially the ones that are disadvantaged, whether
it is socially, economically or geographically. Therefore, we mostly focus on women, refugees,
people with disabilities and minorities. In addition, Pi Youth Association has been
implementing multiple projects aiming at popularizing the volunteering among youth and
getting them actively involved in various volunteering activities.
How do you prepare the volunteers for their volunteer experience with us?
(max 5000 characteres)
5
The theoretical preparation we will provide to the volunteer:
Beside preparing visa documents and communication with coordinating organization we give
information our volunteer’s regarding CIGNA insurance before going to the project and support
about health insurance during the project. Also, we give pre-departure trainings to our
volunteers as sending organization. We discuss everything one by one while looking at the
activity agreement. So, they get all the important
information before they leave.
What activities do you have for the volunteers when returning from their volunteer experience?
(max 5000 characteres)
We stay in contact with our volunteers throughout the project and help them in any way we can
but we do not have a specific planning for the volunteers that return from their projects.
However, we stay in touch with many of our volunteers and also, we encourage them to join the
training/workshops that we provide for the youth for free. These activities include things such
as;
- Erasmus+ Seminars
- English Speaking Clubs
- Other workshops/trainings (Yoga, Origami, etc.)
