Prayer for humility

James 4:6 God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

Isaiah 57:15 For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits
eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with
him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of
the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

*We ask You Lord to grant us the grace to be truly humble before You.

Matthew 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of
heaven.

*Lord, open the eyes of our hearts to recognize our poverty and our
neediness. Grant that our body would be truly poor in spirit and from
that place of deep humility receive the abundant riches of Your grace.
Deliver us from pride and self-reliance.

Matthew 18:3 Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and
become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of
heaven.

Luke 14:11 Whoever exalts himself shall be abased; but he who

humbles himself shall be exalted

A little child knows that they are UNABLE to do anything on their own.
They are completely dependent on their parents. They look to their
parents for guidance, for provision, for everything. This is humility.

*Lord cause us to see our inability and look to You alone as our Source;
to lean on You as our Strength and Wisdom and to follow You into the
manifestation of Your kingdom.

John 3:30 He (Jesus) must increase but I must decrease.

Prayer for the fear of the Lord

Proverbs 22:4 By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and
honor and life.

Riches - these are the riches of His glorious presence, His love and
transforming power (Ephesians 1:18, Ephesians 3:16)
and all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2:3) that are
hidden in Christ. These are the TRUE RICHES that come freely
to those who are humble and who fear the Lord.
Honor and life – This is manifesting the very life of Christ in our body
(2 Cor. 4:10-11) and diffusing the fragrance of Christ (2 Cor. 2:14)

Proverbs 16:6b by the fear of the Lord one departs from evil.

Proverbs 14:27 The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, To

turn one away from the snares of death.

Proverbs 19:23 The fear of the Lord leads to life, And he who has
it will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil.

*Lord, we ask that You would bring the fear of the Lord into our body
that will cause every one of us to depart from evil.

*We ask for the fear of the Lord that becomes a fountain of life.

*Lord would you teach this body the fear of the Lord so that we abide in
satisfaction because of it.

Speaking of the Lord Jesus, Isaiah 11:3 says “His delight is in the fear of
the Lord”. This is in context of the seven Spirits of the Lord resting on
Jesus.

*Lord, we pray that our body would esteem and value “the fear of the
Lord” so that like Jesus we would “delight in the fear of the Lord
