Sample Detailed Lesson Plan in Mathematics Indicating Time to Hour (Grade 1)

I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the pupils are expected to:

a. Indicate time to the hour;

b. Read and write time as shown on the clock; and

c. Practice habit of coming on time.

A. Daily Routine
1. Prayer: “Before we start our class. Let us pray first.” (one student will lead the prayer)
2. Greetings: “Good morning class! How is your day?”
3. Checking of Attendance: “Say present”
B. Review
“Class, can anyone tells us what we have learned (student raise their hands and say present as the
yesterday?” teacher calls their name)

C. Motivation (answer may vary)
1.The teacher will show a jumbled letters and let the
pupils form on the word. The teacher will give clues.

Directions: the teacher will going to show flashcards


showing a time and each group must set the time in the
paper. First group who will raise their paper clock with
right set of time will be given point. Highest points will
be declared the winner and will receive rewards.
