1.0 SCOPE:

1.1 This procedure describes the requirements for borescope examination of internal
condition pipe using Olympus IFLEX FX IV 8435 and IV 86180 and other equipment.

2.0 REFFERENCE DOCUMENTS:

1 ASME Sec V ASME Code for Non Destructive testing.

2 ASNT-SNT-TC-1A Guide lines for Personnel Qualification & Certification.

3.0 PERSONNEL QUALIFICATION:

3.1 Nondestructive testing personnel shall be certified with NDT VT-Level I or II minimum in
accordance with Company Written Practice for Qualification and Certification for NDT
Personnel as per SNT-TC-1A, or a similar document.

3.2 The results will be analyzed by person who is undergone the VT-Level-II Certified with
enough experience.

4.0 SAFETY:

4.1 All personnel are responsible for ensuring that they, as well as their fellow employees
perform their job in a safe and professional manner.

4.2 In addition they will also adhere to any statutory and local safety requirements along with
any Client / Project specific safety requirements.

4.3 All HSE requirements shall be strictly followed.

5.0 CLIENT RESPONSIBILTY:

The following are the requirements to be executed before commencing the job:

5.1 The Client is to provide the job details such as drawing, numbering or identification
system, prior to the start of inspection.

5.2 Providing access flexible work place to the Inspector.

5.3 The inside surface has to be free from dirt, grease and loose particles and should be
suitable for Visual inspection.

7.0 INSEPCTION PROCEDURE:

7.1 Preparation:

7.1.1 In order to conduct a thorough inspection and reference information must be

accessed and studied before proceeding to conduct inspection.

7.1.2 Check condition borescope unit and supporting equipment, Optical Tip, battery
and other.

7.1.3 Ensure that personal safety equipment and workplace conditions meet safety
criteria in accordance with applicable regulations.

7.2 Inspection:

7.2.1 Create a file name in accordance with the equipment to be inspected to facilitate
the creation of report

7.2.2 Insert the Camera Tip into the equipment that needs to be inspected.

7.2.3 Record the condition of inside equipment in the form of video or image as
requested by client.

7.2.4 If any finding the condition to be measured..

7.2.5 Do camera calibrations before use to measure the indication.

7.2.6 Measure the size of the indication and record.

7.2.7 All the inspection result are copied to the flash disk and transferred to the
computer.

7.2.8 Analyze and Reporting.

8.0 ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA:

8.1 The acceptance standards for the interpretation of items inspected shall be based on
Client requirements or the Contract Document.

9.0 RECORDS:

9.1 When required by the client, a written report shall be prepared for every borescope

inspection carried out in accordance with this procedure.

9.2 The report shall contain, but not limited to the following information:

9.2.1 Date of inspection

9.2.2 Name of the fabricator or manufacturer

9.2.3 Material specification

9.2.4 Acceptance criteria

9.2.5 Material Identification, joint no. and repair status

9.2.6 Internal Condition Equipment

9.2.7 Attachment photo or Video

9.2.8 Inspection devices used

9.2.9 Comments and recommendations with reference to the acceptance criteria.

9.2.10 Name and signature of inspector

9.2.11 When a permanent visual record of imperfection and are required, a photograph
or on-scale accurate sketches shall be made indicating exact dimensions.
