ASSIGNMENT #1

1. How were Filipino people created

Answer: Filipinos belong to the brown race, and they are proud of it. They cherish
a story that accounts for the difference in the races. According to Malay folklore, long
ages ago the gods who dwelt upon the earth shaped clay after their own image and baked
it. In the first trial they baked it too long and it came out burned—the Negro. They tried
again. This time they removed the clay too soon—the white man. The third time they were
successful; they produced just the right product—the brown man.. The original settlers
may have come from interior Asia by land; one strain may even have come from Africa.
They were pigmies. Some had marked Negroid characteristics—black skin and kinky hair.
Descendants of these little peoples, now called Negritos, may be found in small numbers
to this day in the deep forests and mountains of the interior, living in almost the same
primitive way as did their prehistoric ancestors.

2. What is meant by being made according to the image of God?

Answer: It means that like God, we human are spirit and we have eternal life.
Being made in the image of God describes who we are, what we are capable of, why we
have value and give us insight. It means that we look very much like him, but it does not
refer to a physical likeness, but a spirit of his image refers to the attributes of God that are
reflected in human. We were created to be reflections of God, the brightness of his glory
and the exact representation of His character.

3.What are the similarities and differences of the four stories of creation?
Answer: As I was reading the four stories of creation I realized there are many
similarities, and it is all created by gods and goddesses. The creators know what they
are doing and are confidence with the outcome. This helps the followers trust in their
maker and believe that they will guide through life. There are many similarities that
creation stories share: among them, most creation myths contain the existence of an
absolute thing, the theme of birth. In most creation myths, an absolute being or beings
appear and create creatures. They differ from each other through the different literally
styles ,and scope. They also differing four evaluations of the various stages of creation
