JUSTIFICATION FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE STUDY:

Learning Calculus presents a difficulty in terms of building critical thinking skills.


Calculus is a fundamental subject that is required for many other courses and is also important
in everyday life. The numerous challenges that students face when learning calculus pose a
significant challenge in developing critical thinking skills.

According to Susilo (2020), mathematics in general, with great challenges in the


learning process, calculus learning is expected to improve the ability to think logically,
analytically, systematically, critically and creatively for students.

Thus, this study aims to determine how the calculus influence the critical
thinking of freshmen senior high STEM students and this study will be helpful to nurture their
knowledge in calculus. This study aims to know how calculus influenced and improved the
critical thinking of students from learning Pre-Calculus to Basic Calculus.
MAJOR VARIABLES IN YOUR STUDY:
