TENNESSEE. October 25, 2021 ‘To: Chancellor Donde Plowman and Athletic Director Danny White From: Ryan Alpert; Troy Lane; Dr. Frank Cuevas safety and Security Recommendations for Neyland Stadium (Football) In response to actions that took place during the closing moments of Tennessee's home football ‘gamne versus Ole Miss on Oct. 16, 2021, at Neyland Stadium—Tennessee Athletics conducted a collaborative review of gamoday practices and effective crowd management strategies. This review included participants ftom across campus, including the Division of Student Life, the Division of Finance & Administration, UTPD and others. All partes share the belief that safety is ‘paramount at every campus event. These parties also share a strong commitment to exercising {very reasonable measure to ensure that good sportsmanship and civility are thematic imperatives at Tennessee Athletic home competitions. Prohibit “student gues tickets” forthe Nov. 13 Georgia game. 2, Increase personnel in strategic locations throughout the student seating sections. Add additional sportsmanship/reporting misconduct signage in stadium along with in- ‘game PA announcements and athletics department PSA, as well as sportsmanship ‘messaging in pre-game emails to all fans. 7. Revocation of privileges to attend Tennessee Athletics events for the remainder of the 202-22 academic and athletic yer for individuals found responsible who engaged in misconduct atthe Ot. 16 home football game Euture Consideratio 1. In consultation with the Division of Student Life and SGA, develop a general admission seating process for student seating and a continued communication strategy for good sportsmanship to incoming students and the entire UTK student body. 2. Evaluate the technology and camera system for potential upgrades.
