1. Nursery establishment
2. Preparation of soil media
3. Seedling tray/Banana leaves lukong
4. Adequate water
5. Monitor Pest & disease presence
6. Pre-germinated seeds
7. Hardening (at least 7 days before transplanting)

Quality Seedlings: Soil Ratio is 2:1:1

a. Vermicompost (using African Nigh Crawler) (1 part)
b. Carbonized Rice Hull (1 part)
c. Garden Soil (2 parts)
d. Plastic Seedling Tray – can be bought online / Disposable cups with hole in
the middle / Plastic cut into circle (like pipe) / Banana leaf (rolled)
e. Sprinkler & Sprayer
