The Ritz Carlton Hotel was established in August of 1983.The former owner,William B.

Johnson Properties,acquired the exclusive North American rights to the Ritz-Carlton trademark.

The hotel operates in the hospitality sector with one central reservation office and 108 luxury

hotels (The Ritz-Carlton Fact Sheet,2017).

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel targets and hosts travelers by offering accommodations in

exchange of for per-night prices.It targets couples who seek quiet premises and high-quality

bedding and families by offering reduced price child menus.It also targets business travelers by

providing attention to room service offerings and furnishing,such as conference halls and internet

access.

Strategic Planning

Strategic planning is the process that enables leaders to make specific decisions that set

direction for Business Excellence. Here in Ritz-Carlton, strategic planning puts a stake of what

the hotel is hoping to achieve and also serves as a guide for workers to direct their time and

resources toward the goals and objectives that the company has adopted (Tammy Barton, 2019).

For example, using strategic planning we are able to rank the products and services very

important to our customers, the services that are rising in importance to our customers and

services and products that are poor comparatively to competitors.

Ritz-Carlton Hotel has its strategic planning theories that involve modifying vision,

mission, strategy, methods and foundation of the company. It also selects the company’s

strategic mandates and develops the company’s objectives and targets. These theories help in

governing Ritz-Carlton Hotel’s principles like the employees’ pride and joy of the company or

the customers’ loyalty to the company.

The strategic planning has maximized the strategic concepts of the company by

reinforcing pyramid plans, communicating pyramid concept to the employees and executing

plans. It has also fortified the daily line-up reinforcement on-going throughout the year, improve

planning process and helped in conducting monthly reviews of plan at all levels by collecting

information of the next cycle.

Expansion into International Market

Since Ritz-Carlton Hotel brand is a top-tier hotel management company that manages

individually owned hotel properties for their property owners (Karen Trina Harrison,2019),it is

critical to mention that it has made an attentive and respectful service and has set the industry

standard of five-star hotel service. By so saying ,the company is deemed for a robust success into

an international market.

Expansion Ideas into Global Market

With a joint venture of Ritz-Carlton Hotel and as a subsidiary of Marriot

International(Ritz-Carlton Fact Sheet,2017),its safe to say that the company will be able to

expand its territories to provide the ever growing hospitality services to customers all over the

world.In addition to that, the company will be to gain new cultural ideas to invest into its product

and services.

Importance of Expansion into International Market

This move will enable Ritz-Carlton Hotel to create a number of grant-funded foundations

in the Third World Countries for the betterment of a brighter and healthier world. It will also

look forward to creating job opportunities for the increasing number of youths who are

unemployed but have highly trained skills to execute goals of this company.

As Ritz-Carlton Hotel becomes globally integrated, the company will become more

aware of national and ethnic differences. This will set the platform of hospitality industry into a

successful venture that will mentor and pioneer the generation to become more familiar society

than we are in today.
