What is the relationship between knowledge and culture?

The TOK prompt I have selected is: “What is the relationship between knowledge and
culture?”.
This exhibition explores this prompt by reflecting on knowledge and culture as the cultural
objects instilled the responsibility to pass on the knowledge and heritage of the past into the
future. This can only be done with the fraternization of the past and the present knowledge
and thus developing an individual perspective with a clear and vivid relationship between
objects and knowledge.

patterns of the people during the Palaeolithic Period, Mesolithic period and Chalcolithic
period.
These paintings are particularly interesting for this exhibition because it highlights the
cultural milieu of pre-historic times and shows the gradual development of human being from
period to period. These paintings highlight the enriched culture and provides a platform for
the present generation to acquire knowledge from these. This continuous process of acquiring
knowledge depicts how culture is symbolic in development of holistic approach of an
individual.
These paintings also enrich this exhibition because not only the archaeologists but all the
people around find it interesting and inspiring. They have symbolising nature along with
spirituality. It depicts the roots of religion and culture.

of India is a huge storehouse of knowledge which helps any human to led a prospective life.
Moreover, it exerts great influence on activities and thoughts of Indian people of the later
ages too. To speak in brief in Ramayana we find living example of moral idealism of life. The
ethical standard of Aryan culture has been brought up by epic poet through a portrayal sprit of
sacrifice, deep attachment, persistence and rigid constancy.
I choose Ramayana because it makes a relationship between culture and knowledge. It shows
us that all good attributes like faithfulness sincerity, obedience are the spine of civilized
social order prevailing in those days as well as now and will continue after many ages the
idols of life as portraited in this epic influence the Indian people as well others to led a life
full of respect, persistence, hardwork.
