ABSTRACT
In today’s time, business is characterized by high competition, dynamism and

technology driven business circumstances, that’s why our company are under pressure
to deliver the best. Organizations are continuously improving and upgrading themselves
to meet customer expectations and demands. In such an aggressive business situation,
innovations play an important role in taking with customers’ needs. In this product, the
innovative case organizer and laptop desk with lamp can use to encourage users or
customers with their needs or wants of design that is useful.
The company will get survey or research from a different online flat form or
shopping sites, market and etc. That has a lot of product innovations and also to find the
positive product to make as well as to give improvement and to know the perspective of
the customers when it comes to an innovation and for us to increase our product sales.
And to know the benefits of innovations for business, for our company to know better
way to remain an innovation is relevant, to know if our product will benefit for
customer and be useful to our industry.

CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
To begin with, "Innovation" is a way of constructing, modifying or making new

things from the old version with the assistance of professionals. Innovation has been
defined as many ways, such as incremental improvements to existing products, the
creation of entirely new products and services, or reducing cost. (Cowan et.al 2009)
The innovative case organizer and laptop desk with lamp is a product that can
use in our daily lives, since we are in a new normal because of pandemic all workers
and students stay at home, performing every task with the use of personal computer but
mostly today we use laptop.
Our company innovates organizer with laptop desk with lamp so that will help
everyone work properly. We noticed that most of the time when we use laptop, we also
looking for things that will carry it aside from our table, we want our laptop position to
be slightly elevated and our laptop to be breathable specially laptops without battery or
easily having a high temperature or heat, our company provide the solution to it with
additional lamp and organizer that is useful. the lamp that will help you in times of
darkness or you’re in a dark room or place and the organizer for small things like ball
pens or note pads, just for small things because it is the most mess around your home or
place.

BACKGROUD OF THE PROJECT
The Elective II (Project Management) class of BSIE-3I was tasked to create a

product or product innovation that will be useful in this time of Covid-19 Pandemic.
The 8th group proposed multiple products in compliance with the subject requirement.
After submitting their proposal, their professor approved one of their proposed products
which is the ‘Innovative Case Organizer and Laptop Desk with Lamp’.
Historically, an organizer box is a type of storage box featuring small
compartments for sorting components like screws, nails, bolts, washers etc. or for pills.
The compartments can be separated by removable dividers. In summary, an organizer is
just a small storage box wherein we can store our small home components in order for
us to be easily get what components that we are going to use in a specific task.
The lap desk is a desk set in the lap. In the European tradition, it can be considered a
modern form of the portable desk. As an antique the lap desk is a smaller variant of the
writing slope. It is also called a writing box or a writing cabinet. In certain instances, it
is known as a portable desk, a term which is usually applied to larger forms. Most
antique lap desks are meant to be used on a table or some other stable surface. They are
often strongly built of fine hardwoods like mahogany or walnut. Antique lap desks had
hinged writing surfaces, often covered in leather, felt, or other material, that flip up to
reveal storage space for papers. Individual compartments were designed to hold
inkwells, pens, sealing wax, and other contemporary writing materials. Some desks also
had concealed storage compartments. As a modern form the lap desk is meant primarily
for use in bed and other similar circumstances, it is also known as a bed desk. There are
a wide variety of forms available, but as a rule it is much smaller and simpler than the
antique lap desk, having at the most a small drawer or holding area for a ballpoint pen
and a pencil. It is also made of much cheaper materials, save for a few craft
productions.

Certain lap desks have a removable mono pod, which makes them collapsible
cousins to the lectern desk. Others have two short collapsible legs, so that they can be
used both in bed and on a lap, when the legs are folded. Finally, some come with a
built-in battery powered lamp, continuing the tradition of those antique lap desks and
writing slopes which had swinging or hinged brass candle holders built in. Some new
lap desks now have a built-in cup holder. Most modern lap desks are considered
specialty items and very few furniture dealers keep them in stock. They are present,
however, in a large number of catalogs and on some commercial Web sites. There are
also lap desks made for laptop computers. These desks were designed not only to raise
the laptops from their surrounding environments (such as beds), but they were also
designed to provide extra clearances to provide adequate air circulation to the laptops.
Some of them are also equipped with extra fans to increase air circulation.
The ‘Innovative Case Organizer and Laptop Desk with Lamp is the group’s
solution in having large occupied space in our room. In this time of Covid-19
pandemic, most of the people are staying at their home doing their endeavours—
specifically home-schooling and work-from-home set-up. Thus, most of us are obliged
to have our own work materials like personal computer, laptop, mac book, etc. and
obviously, no one wants to work with unorganized environment because aside from it is
eye-unpleasing it also decrease one’s level of productivity.
According to Delap (2018), Organization relieves stress, saves you money, and
gives you the most valuable asset of all - time. Having more time, working to your
greatest potential and being more efficient are directly linked to increased productivity.
Statistics show the connection between organization and productivity. Also, according
to Forbes, the typical executive today wastes almost one month a year searching for lost
information. According to the American Demographic Society, Americans waste more
than 9 million hours each day looking for lost and misplaced articles. Not surprisingly,

being organized helps everyone to be more efficient and effective. Thus, this proves
that having an innovative organizer in your room will be really helpful in increasing
your productivity. This product is not just a simple case organizer. It can also used as
laptop desk which is very suitable for student or even to work-from-home employer. It
also comes with a lamp that making this product more convenient, yet, cost-efficient.
The Innovative case organizer and laptop desk with lamp was created for users,
namely for those who have a lot of stuff and don't know where to put it also you can
place your laptop. We're always on the lookout for nice-sized boxes, wood planks to
transform into storage with laptop desk solutions throughout the house and office.
Innovative case organizer was a fantastic fit for cutting apart and using as a little
organizer for various school or office organizer. Our company made this organizer out
of a plywood that a product had arrived in, measuring 72cm in height, 80cm s in length
and 37cm in width.

company manufacture innovative table organizer with unique style and sometimes
depending on customer’s specification. The Industry Innovators Corporation was
founded on 2021 by the 8th Group of the BSIE-3I Elective II Class (Project
Management). Angelica Abiera, the company’s founder once envisions to create a
business which manufactures innovative case organizer based on the customer’s idea.
Now, the company has one operating shop which is located in Quezon City, Philippines

PRODUCTS PRODUCED BY THE COMPANY
Our main product is an organizer box, which is a form of storage box with small
compartments for categorizing items such as pens, cutters, or anything else. Disposable
dividers can divide the divisions. But it's more than simply an organizer box now that
we've included a computer table with an extended top and a lamp. We believe that this
is essential in today's world where there is so much work and so little time. This is
preferable since your computer table includes a separate table for the items you require
or if you require additional writing space. What's more, it won't take up much space
because it's just like a drawer that you can pull out when you need it and then put back
beneath your computer table when you don't. You also won't need to buy additional
light if you plan on using it at night because it comes with a lamp. As a result, it is
equally suitable to students' learning at school, whether through an online class or a
modular system.
The plywood materials, steel for support, wires for lamps, and other elements such
as nails and screws make this storage case unique. It measures 80cm in length, 37cm in

width and 72cm in height because of the computer table, we made it larger, but it won't
take up much room in your area. Because of the case organizer and two tables to
construct, plywood is the primary material used in this product. The second is steel,
which is required to support the extendable table that will be installed beneath the
computer desk. The wires will be used to secure the light to the computer table,
preventing it from being moved or falling over. You may make a unique case organizer
with those basic items.
Students with a modular and online class learning system will benefit greatly from
the innovative case organize. It won’t also take much space since we maximize the
measurement of the product. It will only take up a modest amount of space in your
room or residence, but it will grow as your work does. Because of the Case Organizer
that is placed here, it will be even more orderly, and the lamp that is attached to it will
help you working at night.
PRESENTATION OF PRODUCT TO BE STUDIED

The product that we are going to develop is an innovative case organizer. We came
up with this product because we noticed that most of the time when we use a laptop, we
also want it to be carried away from our table; we want our laptop to be slightly
elevated and breathable, especially laptops without batteries or that are prone to high
temperatures or heat; our company provides a solution to this problem with a useful
lamp and organizer. The lamp, which will assist you in times of darkness or when you
are in a dark room or area, and the organizer for little items such as ball pens or note
pads, which are the most cluttered in your home or place. With this product innovation,
we can help the students that is home-schooling and those workers who are in a work-
from-home set-up by organizing their room without taking so much space.
PROJECT BRIEF
The ‘Innovative Table Organizer and Laptop Desk with Lamp’ is an innovative
case organizer that comes with a laptop desk with installed lamp for users convenient.
The aim of this product is to help the student and also those who work in work-
from-home set-up to organize their computers or laptops and also their work materials
without compromising the space of their room.
We aim to give maximum customer’s satisfaction by designing case organizer in

behalf with their design ideas. Although, we delimit our production in making only
innovative case organizer and laptop desk.
The project budget is estimated to cost P5000.00

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CEO/Project Leader. Communicating with team members, including relaying briefs,

connecting daily tasks to larger goals, and providing context and support.
Ensuring the team remains focused and on track, including addressing any conflicts or
bottlenecks.
Research and Development. Responsible for research, planning, and implementing

new programs and protocols into their company or organization and overseeing the
development of new products.
CAD Operator. Understanding written and verbal instructions, drafting technical

drawings. Responsible in meeting the customer’s design idea.
Finance. Responsible for acquiring funds for the firm, managing funds within the firm,
and planning for the expenditure of funds on various assets.
Marketing. Plays a critical role in promoting an organization's business and purpose. It

acts as the public face of your firm, organizing and creating all marketing materials.
The Marketing Department's mission is to communicate with prospects, customers,
investors, and/or the general public, all while presenting a favorable picture of your
firm.
Researcher have a duty to disseminate their research, cooperate with others as needed,
and transmit and use information for the benefit of your business, the economy, and
society as a whole. In the course of their study, researchers have an obligation to act
honestly and ethically.

Moreover, what is interesting with this company is that they develop a good-
quality, yet cost-efficient product. Therefore, the researchers think that the product has
a potential in global competition.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the majority of individuals are staying at home and
pursuing their interests, particularly home-schooling and working from home. As a
result, most of us are required to have our own work supplies, such as a personal
computer, laptop, or Macbook, and no one wants to work in an unstructured
atmosphere because, aside from being unsightly, it also reduces productivity.
The researchers will respond to the following problem in order to fulfill this project
proposal:

2. How often they use their workspace?
3. Where is the location of their workspace in their house?
4. What are their learning/working materials?

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY
 The aim of this project proposal is to develop a product that will be useful in this
new normal set-up.
 The researchers choose to develop an innovation product of case organizer and

laptop desk that aims to help the individual who are home-schooling and working-
at-home in a way that they can increase the level of their productivity by
organizing their learning and working materials by using the product.
 The researcher aims to be well-known company globally in the long run by

developing good-quality product yet cost-efficient.

SCOPE AND LIMITATION
The researcher aims to develop an innovative product that will be helpful during
this new normal set-up.
The respondents of this research are individual who are in home-schooling or in a

work-from-home set-up in the Philippines. The sample will be representative of the
entire Filipino that is in home-schooling or work-from-home set-up. This study will not
cover any other countries aside from the Philippines.
The researcher adopts a non-random/purposive sampling technique in which only

persons who are in the Philippines are sampled.
The researcher uses the Indirect Method or the questionnaire method in gathering
relevant information.
In accordance with the safety guidelines during Covid-19 pandemic, the
researchers will employ an e-questionnaire that will be delivered via social
messaging applications like messenger, viber, telegram, etc.

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK
The input contains the different factors under respondent’s profile.
The second frame contains the procedures and methods in analyzing the
variables through the use of the survey/conduct an interview through online also guide
by the questionnaire that the researchers given. The use of statistical analysis is also
useful in this frame.
The third frame contains the output of how the product will help the respondents.
Lastly, the arrow includes the workflow loop of information in our research process.
The feedback also loop refers back the output to the input of the schematic diagram.
The conceptual framework deconstructs the flow of the study to be taken. The study
adapted the systems approach. This is to summarize and elaborate the conducted
research of how this project will help the target respondents.

PROJECT DESIGN
The decoration of our product is simply base on its purpose , the innovative table
organizer and laptop desk with lamp , inspired by existing study tables, we innovate
and ad something like from a simple table to its organizer and computer set and an
expandable laptop desk with the attach of lamp . the producer works with the design on
a computer and then inputs that information into the computer in order to produce that
product on computer-driven machines. All staff members work together to devise the
best way to get the new innovative table form through the system, especially vigilant
that the costs of the new table will not exceed the price point of the intended market..
The new table must be made in prototype in order to evaluate how the product will
go through the established system. In addition, the staff must physically examine the
proposed new table for aesthetics and durability. The prototype is made using templates
made on machines. Any changes to the prototype are made, the AutoCAD operator
changes computer settings for templates, and the piece is ready for production once
approved.
