Caldo-verde à portuguesa

INGREDIENTS

500 g of potatoes
200 g of cut cabbage for green broth
½ chorizo
1 onion
2 garlic cloves
1 dl of olive oil
1 tablespoon of coarse salt
2 dl of water
Cornbread

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Bring to a boil a pan with the oil, the onion and the chopped garlic and the
potatoes, peeled and cut into pieces. Let it sauté a little, stirring occasionally.
2. Add water, salt and chorizo and cook.
3. When the potatoes are cooked, remove the chorizo and mash everything very
well. Add the cabbage and bring to a boil.
4. Serve the broth with the chorizo cut into slices, accompanied with slices of corn
bread.
