El Dia del Español- Grade 10 Elimination

Acknowledgement
Glory be to God for making this grade 10 eliminations for the upcoming El Dia del
Español successful. The Spanish cub would like to extend their gratitude towards
the Grade 10 students, the Spanish club officers, Sir Marlon M. Gumantason and
the Spanish club coordinator Mrs. Juneva P. Ardepolla.

Introduction
“Words - so innocent and powerless as they are, as standing in a dictionary, how
potent for good and evil they become in the hands of one who knows how to
combine them.” Nathaniel Hawthorne stated.

Body
On the afternoon of November 21, 2019 at 1:40 p.m., the eliminations for the
cosplay and singing idol contest for the upcoming El Dia del Español was
conducted at the Grade 10- Integrity room. The eliminations started with a prayer
that was led by Kent Laurence V. Villacorte, the master of ceremony. Mr.
Villacorte introduced the judges for the eliminations which were Mrs. Juneva P.
Ardepolla and Mr. Marlon M. Gumantason. Mr. Villacorte then introduced the 5
contenders for the singing idol. The 5 contenders then sang their chosen Spanish
translated songs. The eliminations then proceeded to the eliminations for the
cosplay event. Mr. Villacorte introduced the 5 contenders for the cosplay event
then introduced the character they were portraying in Spanish, then they were
asked to describe the objects that was chosen by the judges still in Spanish.

Conclusion
After all of the performances, Princess P. Delos Santos won the singing idol,
Kristoffe Bien P. Montelibano got the 2nd place and Katherine D. Reonal got 3rd
place. On the other hand, Louiela Marie Grace D. Plazos won the cosplay event,
Jeic Vanette K. Liray got 2nd place and Ingrid D. Tigullo got the 3rd Place. The
eliminations then concluded with the announcing and awarding of the winners. The
eliminations finished at 3:00 p.m..
