PEACE CONCEPTS
Peace is a concept of societal friendship and harmony in the absence of hostility and violence. In
a social sense, peace is commonly used to mean a lack of conflict (such as war) and freedom
from fear of violence between individuals or groups. Throughout history leaders have used peace
making and diplomacy to establish a certain type of behavioural restraint that has resulted in the
establishment of regional peace or economic growth through various forms of agreements
or peace treaties. Such behavioural restraint has often resulted in the reduction of conflicts,
greater economic interactivity, and consequently substantial prosperity. "Psychological peace"
(such as a peaceful thinking and emotions) is perhaps less well defined yet often a necessary
precursor to establishing "behavioural peace." Peaceful behaviour sometimes results from a
"peaceful inner disposition." Some have expressed the belief that peace can be initiated with a
certain quality of inner tranquillity that does not depend upon the uncertainties of daily life for its
existence. The acquisition of such a "peaceful internal disposition" for oneself and others can
contribute to resolving of otherwise seemingly irreconcilable competing interests.

 PERSONAL PEACE
Refers to a state of being mentally and spiritually at peace, with enough knowledge and understanding to
keep oneself strong in the face of discord or stress. Being "at peace" is considered by many to be healthy
and the opposite of being stressed or anxious. Peace of mind is generally associated with bliss and
happiness. Peace with oneself, is very important to stop the motor located inside the human soul, which is
working on breeding movement causes complex and interrelated, that is simply not justify the feasibility of
such a life.

INTERPERSONAL PEACE
Involves acceptance of differences and diversity among people; resolving disagreements and
conflicts non-violently, with dialog and discussion; relating to others with compassion,
empathy and a sense of justice; living with them harmoniously; and being a good member of
one's family and neighborhood

SOCIAL/NATIONAL PEACE
A way of sustaining social life distant from internal conflict. It is one of the objectives
of social politics, which offer peaceful solutions to the disputes and conflicts that may arise
from disagreements and social tensions among national and international various sectors of
society.

GLOBAL PEACE
World peace, or peace on Earth, is the concept of an ideal state of happiness, freedom
and peace within and among all people and nations on Planet Earth.

ACTIVITY 2
Make a reflection on the song entitled ‘’Let There Be Peace on Earth’’ (10 Points)

The song “Let There Be Peace on Earth” really move my heart to realize everything that has
happen into our Earth, the place where we live in but as throughout my journey I can really
see the difference situations in our earth through the years and sometimes I could really
wish that we could turn back time where people see our earth as precious as gems but now
most of the people tend to forget our mother earth. The lyrics of the song tells that the
peace begin with me, with each one of us be the peace and be the inspiration of one
another to spread awareness and peace for us to live each moment and have peace
eternally. Let’s give back to our mother earth where it gives as hope in everyday life and
don’t forget to thank God and in Him all things will be possible.
