Introduction

The Research attempts to study the Effects of cyberbullying to an individual . Cyberbullying is


when someone repeatedly and intentionally harasses, mistreats, or makes fun of another
person online or while using cell phones or other electronic devices.Cyberbullying is a growing
social problem that has become all too common in online communities. Social media has many
effects and cyberbullying is one of them. Using social media can contribute to the stress and
hurt that the victims of cyberbullying feel, which is exactly the bully wants. The effects of
cyberbullying can lead to extreme stress and depression, and students who are victims may
feel drawn to sled-harm as a result of their experience.

Cyberbullying is a very serious issue affecting not just the young victims, but also the victims'
families, the bully, and those who witness instances of cyberbullying. However, the effect of
cyberbullying can be most detrimental to the victim, of course, as they may experience a
number of emotional issues that affect their social and academic performance as well as their
overall mental health.

Cyberbullying is deliberately and repeatedly inflicting harm using electronic devices, gaming
apps, and online social media platforms. It often manifests as hate accounts, hurtful social
media posts, online rumors and gossip, and mean comments while gaming. The intention is
almost always to embarrass, threaten, humiliate, intimidate, or abuse the intended target.

Statement of the Problem

The statement of the problem is what a huge impact that cyber bullying has had effect in every
individual and t we need to prevent it before it overwhelm our society.Cyber bullying is a big
issue and bullies are now threading and hacking people anonymous.

Data Presentation

In the Philippines, latest national data show that cyberviolence affects almost half of children
aged 13-171. The prevalence of cyberviolence for males (44 per cent) is almost the same for
females (43 per cent).Cyberbullying can have physical and psychological effects on a child.
Anxiety, fear, depression, low self-esteem, behavioral issues, and academic struggles are the
effects of cyberbullying.

Conclusion

In Conclusion,Cyberbullying, has devastating effects on the physical and emotional wellbeing of


young people. This can create lasting emotional and psychological scars, even physical
harm.The effects of cyberbullying also include mental health issues, increased stress and
anxiety, depression, acting out violently, and low self-esteem. Cyberbullying can also result in
long-lasting emotional effects, even if the bullying has stopped.

These effects of cyberbullying can result in enduring feelings of embarrassment. Online bullying
feels more permanent, especially when it is performed through social media posts that don’t
immediately disappear. It can lead to overwhelming feelings of exposure and distress.
