GUIDELINES:
The minimum requirements for buildings targeting 1-Star or 2-Stars GSAS rating within MANATEQ certified
districts (hereinafter referred to as “The Projects”) for Special Economical Zones, Logistic Parks and Warehousing
Parks are falling under two groups; namely:
Note for Owners: GSAS Checklist is developed in collaboration with MANATEQ and comprises minimum
descriptive requirements for achieving GSAS certification. These minimum requirements which are usually
considered part of the standard design deliverables by consultants are set to avoid extra incurred fees or charges
pertaining to GSAS.

Recommendation: No existence of equipment with efficiency less than specified
in ASHRAE 90.1-2010.
1. RECYCLING MANAGEMENT
Recommendation:
• Collect and store recyclable materials.
• Sorting and storage area should be located close to the truck loading area.
• Sorting and storage area must be properly isolated and ventilated to reduce
negative heath impact for users and visitors on site.

Recommendation:
• Collect and remove all toxic or harmful substances include any solids,
sludge, floating debris, oil, scum or any substances associated with
industrial process.

Recommendation:
• Provide at least one accessible paved pathway that connects all built spaces,
parking areas and other facilities onsite.
• Ensure that all pathways feature adequate signage at all intersections and at
regular intervals along unbroken length of a pathway.
INDOOR ENVIRONMENT
FEES:
Discounted GSAS certification fees is considered for plots within MANATEQ Special Economic Zones districts as per
fee schedule published in the MOU Service Agreement between GORD and MANATEQ as follows:
Plot Sub-Developers shall pay 7500 QAR as a lump sum fee for Design Certification Letter of Conformance (LOC) to
GORD. Fee is paid per building irrespective of total built up area of the building within the plot.
Plot Sub-Developers shall pay 7500 QAR as a lump sum fee for Design Certification Conformance to Design Audits
(CDA) to GORD. Fee is paid per building irrespective of total built up area of the building within the plot.
