Proposed Title: A Business Feasibility Study on enhancing Carrot Ice Cream

Chapter 1

Introduction

Ice cream is the most popular dessert in the world. Usually most people pay attention to desserts

especially after their meal, without it, the meal is boring and incomplete.

Many people usually crave to desserts like cakes, ice cream, candies, chocolates etc. But they

also look onto something that is new to their ears and sight. Thus, people are curious of the new

products that they see. Therefore, the tendency is they will try or taste it once.

And, it is a habit that after we ate meals, we are eating a dessert to satisfy us every meal. People

usually crave for desserts when the meals are too salty (Bronee,2015).

Ice cream is a kind of sweetened frozen dessert that tastes better than any other desserts. It is

commonly made by dairy products like heavy cream, egg and fresh milk. Ice cream has a variety

of flavors that’s why many people crave to this kind of dessert. It can be experimented to

produce their product that will satisfy people.

Ice cream tastes better than any other food. It is creamy as it slips down your throat.

Ice cream is an admirably palatable dessert that can cause pleasure that has an essential appeal. It

is a food made with perfection and has somewhat unfamiliar but delicious flavor.
Objective of the study

The main purpose of the study was to make an Ice Cream flavored with Carrots.

Specifically, it aimed to evaluate and analyze the product in terms of the following:

• To be a well-known maker/producers of healthy Ice cream.

• To give a new flavor of Ice cream.

• To increase the demand of healthy products in the market thus promoting a healthy type

of living.

• To improve nutrition among people through making desserts with nutritional contents.

• To provide a safe, enjoyable and health promoting environment for the consumption of

food.

Scope and Limitation

This study is primarily focused on enhancing the industry of carrot ice cream in Brgy. Mayapa

Calamba City. Teenagers and Adults will be covered as a part of the respondents. This product

will distribute through orders online within Brgy. Mayapa Calamba City for those who wants

and willing to purchase the unique ice cream product


Significance of the study

The output of the study is beneficial to the following:

The customers. The result of this study will provide health benefits to the customers. This

could also help them to make new product using carrots as flavor.

To the researchers the study would help the student researchers to promote the healthier flavor

of ice cream

To businessmen and food establishment owners. For them to add a new product innovation in

their sales and products so that they can welcome more costumers in their stores.

The children. This study will help to improve the health of the children.

Locale of the study

The study will be conducted at brgy. Mayapa Calamba City Laguna. This place was selected

because many potential customers are in these place.


Respondents of the Study

The proponent are selected in Brgy. Mayapa, Calamba city Laguna to be respondents of

the study. The proponent were able to select 40 customer in Brgy. Mayapa, Calamba city,

Laguna. The respondent in Brgy. Mayapa shown there interest and reaction to the product of

carrot ice cream.

Population and Sampling


The population of area in Brgy. Mayapa, Calamba City, Laguna is 28,302 based from

2020 local Brgy census. The researcher select 40 respondents from the population to answer the

survey questioner and serve as primary source of information to the study.

Sources and Data Gathering Process

The Researchers made an approval letter to ask permission to conduct the study in Brgy.

Mayapa. Gathering information of the study helped the researchers to analyze and comprehend

each significant data. The researchers consulted in the internet and utilize the questionnaire

through google form. They used Internet to gather information to have detailed research. The

questionnaires were distributed to the respondents that assessed the proposed product.

Definition of terms:

The following terms are defined in a random order to aid the comprehension of the readers:

Ice Cream. is a sweetened frozen food typically eaten as a snack or dessert. It is typically

sweetened with sugar or sugar substitutes. In this study ice cream is the main product for this

study

Enhancing. is to increase or improve the quality.


Online Order. is a systems operate similarly to an online takeaway.

Carrot. is vegetable that is planted under the ground. This vegetable is rich in Vitamin A.

Primary. is a first-hand or contemporary account of an event or topic.

The Proponent. is a term that one who argues in favor of something.
