Reflection Paper Theology
It is easy to worship God when things are going great in our life. However, circumstances
are not always pleasant. Take the year 2020; we are in a season when the world is being shaken
by a global pandemic—a renewed cry for racial justice, the yoke of poverty, awareness of the
state of the environment, and the threat of natural disasters.
When the COVID-19 pandemic arrived, many things about how we used to live our lives
changed. During this very difficult time, we are all suffering in one way or another. This paved
way for some people to find it difficult to worship God. They tend to feel that God seems distant.
This feeling of abandonment or estrangement from God is painful and disconcerting, but it is
vital for the development of our faith. In life, it is normal that we experience sufferings because
these are part of our lives. The situations that will test our faith most will be those times when
m
life falls apart that we feel like God is nowhere to be found. But, like what the speaker said, God
er as
has always chosen to be with us. We have nothing to worry about because He has better plans for
co
us. Amidst this situation, the webinar taught us on how to seek God to worship and trust Him
eH w
during these thriving times. One way to see God is through the Bible. When times get rough and

we cannot feel God's presence, the Bible is the best way to bring us closer to Him. Some may not

see the importance of the Bible, but we learned from the webinar that this sacred book is what
ou urc
stops us from being scared. Remember, God is never silent. He wants to have a conversation
with us, that is why He sends people and things as instruments to reveal Himself so we could
o
perpetual closeness of God. In all the chaos and fear, God is always close enough that we can
hear the divine whisper in our hearts. This webinar inspired us to hang on to God's unchanging
character and remind ourselves what we know to be eternally true about God. Hence, this trust in
ed d
God and in His Word will cause us to remain faithful even amidst suffering. Now, as our lives
ar stu
seem distant and disjointed, we must remember that God is always close and in this divine
closeness, we become one.
