1 What’s new in the MPD 600 Software
This document gives an update about the software enhancements of the new MPD driver and bug fixes
included in version 1.6.7.1 of the MPD Software. You can download the installer for this new software
version in the download area of the OMICRON Customer Portal (https://my.omicronenergy.com).

1.1 Software enhancements

> MCU5xx USB drivers are Microsoft certified for Windows 10.

1.2 Bug fixes

> MPD 600 and TAND0 700 parallel usage bug has been fixed.

2 System requirements
Supported operating systems include:

> Windows 7 - SP1 (32 bit and 64 bit)

> Windows 8 & 8.1 (64 bit)
> Windows 10 (64 bit)

This installer version is not compatible with the old USB502 controllers (black housing), which were
discontinued in 2007.

Note: Windows XP is not supported since version 1.6.5. However, you can contact OMICRON Technical
Support to request an older version of the MPD 600 software that supports XP.
