THE LATYMER
Founded 1624
SCHOOL
To the parent(s) of: Kevin Adjei
Registration Number: 1831
4 October 2021
Dear Parent(s),
A total of 2338 applicants sat the assessment tests for entry to Year 7 in September 2022.
Please find herewith the age standardised results for the Maths and Verbal Reasoning tests for your
child. The highest standardised scores achievable in both the Maths and Verbal Reasoning paper is
141 in both tests. The planned admission number for September 2022 entry is 192 students.
In order to be considered for admission to the school, applicants should have a ranking position
between 1 (highest) and 650 (lowest).
Oversubscription criteria
For applicants who applied for our oversubscription criteria (applicants applying under ‘Looked After’
status, applicants holding an Educational Health & Care Plan, applicants applying for one of 20 Music
places, applicants applying for one of 20 Pupil Premium places), those applicants would need to have
a ranking position between 1 (highest) and 900 (lowest) in order to be considered for admission to the
school.
Music applications
The school received 201 applications for a Music place. 146 parents submitted evidence to support
their child’s music application. 30 children were invited for a Music audition, other children could not
be considered for a Music place given the high standard and volume of applications.
As your child has not achieved the required standard, we will not be able to take their application to
the school any further at this stage. We understand that both you and your child will be disappointed
to receive this outcome.
In light of this result, you can appeal the school’s decision not to offer a place to your child if Latymer
is named on your Common Application Form (CAF). You can apply for an appeal pack by emailing the
school to: admissions@latymer.co.uk – you should register your appeal by 4 March 2022.
”Latymer is an outstanding school that provides an excellent all-round education for all of its students.”
Unfortunately, we are unable to give any further information regarding your application at this time
and would kindly request that you do not contact the school/admissions office at this busy time.
Yours sincerely
