Introductory Academic Program

The Introductory Academic Program was designed to teach pupils about

school regulations, officials, and facilities, as well as their roles in educating our
children.
On the first day of class, Atty. Alizedney M. Ditucalan discussed the benefits
of having pupils view the live video. As he sees it, the IAP's purpose is to help
students get a feel for the intellectual environment at MSU. The academic
community's expectations and standards for MSU students must be met, in my
opinion.
Young people are the future of our fatherlands, as DSA director Dr. Juhari B.
Pangandaman rightly states. And my answer is yes, we definitely certainly are! So,
no matter where we stand in the face of the covid-19 pandemic, we must not be
sidetracked by anything and instead push harder to attain our goals. As a modular
learner, I was lost in Google Classroom on the second day and didn't know what
to do, such as how to join meetings. This is why the Google Workplace for
Education has been invaluable in helping me through the online learning system,
or what they call synchronous learning.
I had no clue that MSU had so many libraries before now! I was under the
impression there was only one. We need a lot of Math materials as Engineering
students because Math can be challenging at times. As soon as I see those
libraries in real life, I'm going to have to make a trip to them. I'd love to go to the
Arts and Social Sciences Section, the Multimedia Viewing and News Program, the
Science and Technology Section, and the American Corner, but I doubt my
schedule will allow it because I won't have time to rest, and I don't want to
squander any time. Books are plentiful at libraries, and books are linked to
knowledge.
I was shocked when Professor Azreen M. Marohomsalic said, "You cannot
demand from the students." He spoke as if he, too, had struggled with an
unreliable internet connection, and he specifically emphasized students from
rural locations.
My interest was stirred by Professor Sorhaila L. Latip's presentation on the
subject. 'Today's media has actually inculcated and introduced a lot to our
thoughts and bodies,' she asserted. Modern youth have grown up in drastically
different environments than previous generations. The media has complete
control over how we are influenced. I don't mean to imply that technology is a
terrible thing, but rather that it is now the driving force behind how our world
changes and evolves. Unfortunately, some young people nowadays abuse
technology, which I believe is a positive development for the globe.
I am appreciative to the MSU library staff for providing us with the
opportunity to see each library's beauty. I also like to appreciate Professor Azreen
for his efforts in explaining how Google Apps function and everything else related
to it. I'd want to thank Professor Sorhaila for teaching me about the differences
between misinformation, disinformation, and mal information.
While Professor Jasmine Jeanette C. Mama has talked with us about netiquette on
the third day, we have yet to hear from her. In the internet world, they are simply
the rules to follow. It's true that we should treat everyone with respect, especially
in today's new learning environment where everything is done online. In order to
fulfill our responsibilities as students, we must be service-oriented, united and
team-oriented, multicultural, and honest.
The fourth day of IAP served as a review of grammar usage and research paper
writing skills that will be useful when we return to school. As far as I'm aware,
thesis work in college is more serious, and students must be sufficiently prepared.
During the final day of the IAP, Sir Nico A. Caballes imparted some valuable
wisdom. He talked about the difficulties that students have had while taking
online classes and offered advice on how to succeed in online learning. These
pointers mean a lot to me, and I hope to repay him eventually for all that he has
done for us.
Our mental well-being is critical, especially in these troubled times.
However, in order to survive, we need to be resilient, which is why they provided
us with stress management advice. If you want to look after your health, you need
to practice self-care.
I'm happy to have seen the show and taken part in it because I'm new to
the system and still don't know much about the school. My collegiate experience
has yet to reveal the benefits of being an MSUan to me. I also want to express my
gratitude to the presenters who provided us with knowledge on what a freshman
should know and how to use the new educational platform. It will serve as
inspiration for me while I pursue my goals.
However, my reaction is that The way MSU-Main campus is presented on
Facebook Live during the IAP (Introductory Academic Program) is really appealing
to me. I like the advice they provide because it helps students make better
decisions and avoid following a misguided strategy. Although we may be in the
middle of a "Pandemic," I am amazed that the admission is finding a way to help
us continue our study. Because of that, I've come to know that being a part of
MSU is something great. It's like a tremendous chance for us as freshmen, and we
shouldn't waste it. We owe them something for everything that they've done for
us.
It gives me drive to finish my degree at MSU so that I may tell my future self
with pride that I graduated from MSU. After seeing the IAP, I'm hoping for a
better college experience, despite what I've heard. Maybe that's life; following
dreams is difficult, but when you succeed, it's worth it! And the only way to do
that is to Be Responsive, as I learned in IAP. They want us to be responsible
individuals who understand that hard effort is required to achieve the good life
one desires. So, even though we're in Pandemic, we should be able to make it
through our collegiate journey.
