OrcHID Wasps

PHEroMONE MarKINg
When killed an orchid wasp is killed it
releases powerful pheromones that allow
the other wasps to track its killer. This
allows adult wasp to hunt down any
creature that threatens their hive, and gives
the wasps (especially the larva) a warning
that a creature is going to attack them.
These pheromones make safely hunt
orchid wasps extremely difficult. If one kills
even one wasp in close combat, every
nearby wasp knows their location and
sneak attacks on the wasps become
impossible. To counter this, orchid wasp
hunters typically fight with ranged weapons
as much as the wasps' jungle home allows,
and most carry water to clean of their
