The artwork that I choose is painting.

1. Give at least 2 assumptions of art that are manifested in the artwork. Justify your answer
with 2-3 sentences each assumptions.

The two assumptions of art that are manifested in the artwork are, one is the (art is not
nature) because in painting we need man's expression of his reception of nature and we can
make painting by using our imagination, experience and talent/skills. Painting is not naturally
made, painting is made by a man. The assumptions of art is (art involves experience) because
you can't paint without any experience. Experience is important in painting because it widens
our imagination for us to create a beautiful painting.

2. What is the artform of the artwork? Explain in 2-3 sentences.

Paintings are classified according to the style in which they are made as well as the
genre and main object of the painting. Still life, landscapes, seascapes, abstract and pop art are
the different types of painting genres that are popular among artists.

3. What is/are the function/s of the artwork?

The functions of art normally fall into three categories. These are personal, social or
physical functions. These categories can, and often do, overlap in any given piece of art. The
physical functions of art are often the easiest to understand. Works of art that are created to
perform some service have physical functions. Art has a social function when it addresses
aspects of (collective) life, as opposed to one person's point of view or experience. The personal
functions of art are often the most difficult to explain. There are many types of personal
function, and they are subjective and will, therefore, vary from person to person
