Subject: CONSTRUCTION OF HOSTELS WITHIN THE UNIVERSITY’S CAMPUS

Introduction:

Purpose:

The purpose of this report is to highlight the importance of university hostels for students

inside the university campus.

Problem:

The university has only one hostel of its own at some distance which accommodates only a

few students while the majority is left on its own.

Other students go for private hostels and experience several problems which are stated as

follows:

 No proper and hygienic food available which leads to diseases and weakness.

 Students have to pay extra for transport.

 No check on student’s activities.

  Private hostels charge a lot, making it unaffordable for most of the students.

 Hard for students to adjust in such conditions which resultantly effects their academic

performance.

Discussion:

Construction of a university hostel within the campus premises can resolve maximum issues

that students face far from their homes.

Criteria:

If hostels are made inside university, no transport will be required and students will not miss

their classes if transport is not available. Students will be provided with healthy food and

their activities could be checked as well, so they do not get spoiled here. In addition, all the

students will be accommodated at one place.

Maintenance:

An adequate hostel fee will be charged form the students for hostel maintenance that will be

affordable for the students.

Other facilities like internet will also be made available here for students work and

entertainment.
Personnel:

The company hired for the construction of the hostel should be certified so quality work

could be achieved.

Cost:

The construction cost and all other charges could be covered from the university fund and

ore fund could be demanded for such a purpose.

Conclusion:

Students will benefit greatly by the new university hostel and their academic performance

will also improve that will eventually earn a good name for our university and even more

students from different cities would like to come to our university and study for their bright

future. One more thing should be noted that the hostel should be spacious enough to

accommodate all the students easily without any hassle.

Recommendation:

A good construction company should be hired for construction, so we do not face severe

maintenance issues in future and that students also do not get disturbed. A committee from

the university should be made to keep a regular check on the hostel and issues regarding it

and to for the compliance of any complaints.
