New Graduate Nurse Recruiter

Banner Medical Center

Dear Banner Hiring Manager,

While exploring Handshake job listings, I was inspired to apply for your open PCU registered
nurse position. I knew immediately that I wanted to apply for this position, as I have high re-
spect for the company and have been able to see firsthand how positively Banner treats both
their patients and employees. I am currently attending the University of Arizona’s College of
Nursing program and expect to complete my degree in December 2021. I feel strongly that
through pursuing this degree I have attained the skills and confidence to work as an RN in a pro-
fessional setting.

While attending school, I have had the opportunity to work in the healthcare industry as a CNA
at a senior living community. Throughout this experience, I have been able to gain skills that can
easily be transferred to the acute care nursing role, including time management, leadership and
compassion. While working at this facility, I was able to strengthen these skills due to the auton-
omy and independence I was given while on the job. I feel that this is especially important in
nursing, due to the roles and responsibilities that are expected to be achieved at all times.

I fully believe that I would be a great fit in the Banner family. Through the company's mission
statement to make health care easier and life better, skills such as integrity and reliability are
vital. Throughout my experience in nursing school and clinical rotations at Banner facilities, I
have been able to demonstrate these skills through collaboration with the nurse and patients.
For instance, assisting the nurse with medication administration, I was able to learn how to
manage my time, interact with the patient, as well as communicate effectively with the rest of
the healthcare team.

I would make an excellent addition to Banner because of our shared values and goals. My experi-
ence has taught me the value of honesty, hard work and determination in relation to nursing. I
would love an opportunity to expand on these experiences and values in the future, and look
forward to hearing a response.

Sincerely,

Kirsten Bruhaug
