ACTIVITY 5: Recontextualization

Instructions:
Learners will apply what they have learned about the drama's performance and technical elements by
recording a video of themselves. In the video, they will act out the lines from the letter they have written in
Activity 4.

Guidelines:
1. The video should not exceed 2 minutes.
2. The actor is consistent with the characteristics of their Chosen Character.
3. The script should be the same with Activity 4 or may be improved following the comments given by
the teacher, if any.
4. The actor delivers the lines with appropriate vocal expression, diction, gesture and facial expression to
convey empathy.
5. Lewd, suggestive and profane words and gestures are prohibited.
6. Costume, make up, props and background are encouraged but not required.
7. Submit your group work individually via Hurtado before the next class meeting.
8. The submitted file name should be Section_Activity5_Group# (Both this document (in PDF) and
recorded video (MP4 Format)
9. Every member of the group must submit the group’s recorded video in MP4 Format.
10. The last "scene" of your video should list the members of your group.

You may review your own work by following the checklist below. Give yourself 1 point for every description
that you successfully achieved. Your teacher will use the same checklist in checking your activity.

1 The actor embodies the Chosen Character accurately.

1 The actor has effectively conveyed the emotion and personality of the character through gestures
and facial expression.

1 The actor has emphatically delivered his lines with appropriate vocal expression, diction.

1 The performance shows an actor whose character is inspired from the Chosen Text.

1 The script is the same with Activity 4 or is improved following the comments given by the
teacher.

1 The performance shows the conflict experienced by the character.

1 The performance is in a modern and more relatable context/setting.

1 The video is free from lewd, suggestive and profane words and gestures.

1 The video does not exceed 2 minutes

1 The activity was submitted on/before the submission time
