June 10 Quitter
After reading the above captioned Brgy. Resolution 157, it has given me a great surprise. I
felt very disappointed and disgusted. Your adoption of the same has confirmed that there is truly
lack of support and respect not only to the Lupon Tagapamayapa but as well as to its members by
most of the Barangay Kagawads including yourself.
On the issue on the Lupon member’s qualification, your Resolution 157 has overruled a
Katarungnang Pambarangay Law in one of its provisions, see Sec 399 (b) Sec. 1.a.2, Rule III KPR. And
I quote . . . ‘a Lupon member . . . 1. Residing OR Working in the Barangay . . .’.
Moreover, on the issues of Lupon’s uniforms and honoraria, it was you yourself who
promised as early as February of this year to provide us a ‘tailored uniform’ which will be sourced
from Holy Family School’s yearly donations. While the increase in our ‘honoraria’ was announced by
you weeks before the national elections. These are all noted and recorded in the Lupon’s minutes of
its regular monthly meetings.
There are more to write on my frustrations such as the Barangay Secretary’s TOTAL failure
to attend and serve the Lupon in ANY of its meetings as provided by KPR. Issues on the Tanods, Brgy.
infrastructures, ILLEGAL Meralco tapping . . . . etc, etc, etc.
There are lots of opportunities to improve and give our Barangay BETTER services but as
only given a pinch of priority. To make it short, Mr. Barangay Chairman . . . . .
. . . . . . . I QUIT !
