4.1 Introductory Activity Joggle Words: Arrange the jumbled letters from the boxes to form the words implied by the pictures.
(5 minutes) *can be presented using the multimedia or through pasted pictures on the manila paper

 What would be the pictures all about? What would be the words that you can draw out from
the pictures and the jumbled or joggled letters?

4.2 Activity  Divide the class into 5, with the use of MI generated instruction, construct a presentation
(23 minutes) depicting/showing about the concept of a society(division of the class was done the day
*8 minutes practice before; present to the class the rubrics to be used as bases for their graded performance)
* 15 minutes  Each group is task to present a creative presentation that would explain civil society
presentation Group A –bodily kinesthetic

Group E – spatial
 Each group will present to the class and 3minutes is allotted for each group.
4.3 Analysis 1. What do you feel about the activity?
(5 minutes) 2. Based from the different presentations, what is your understanding about civil society?
3. Who are considered as part of the civil society? Describe its concept.
4. Interactive sharing among the students is expected during this part.
4.4 Abstraction Lecturette
(12 minutes)  Define civil society (www.google.com the Wikipedia)
 Discuss/explain the concept of civil society
-refers to a ‘community’, commensurate with the Greek  city-state  (polis) characterized by a
shared set of norms and  ethos, in which free citizens on an equal footing lived under the  rule of
law.
- "aggregate of non-governmental organizations and institutions that manifest interests and
will of citizens."[1] 
- includes the family and the private sphere, referred to as the "third sector" of society,
distinct from government and business.[2]
- By other authors, "civil society" is used in the sense of :
1) the aggregate of non-governmental organizations and institutions that manifest
interests and will of citizens or
2) individuals and organizations in a society which are independent of the government. [1]
* Sometimes the term civil society is used in the more general sense of "the elements such as
freedom of speech, an independent judiciary, etc, that make up a democratic society"
