1. Contribution of application software in Business (10pts)
- Word processing, payroll, inventory control, and accounting operations, among other things, can be
performed by Small Business software applications. The software is primarily in charge of handling the
duties of the whole organization. The use of software is essential for the automation of the organization's
duties as well as reporting the progress or delays in the organization's operations. This increases the
efficiency and efficacy of the company's operations. The program decreases workload and automates
operations. It also helps to eliminate human mistakes, which increases effectiveness and consistency.
There are numerous forms of business software that are frequently utilized by businesses. Software is in
charge of completing various tasks. The payroll system is one of the most crucial pieces of business
software for any organization. This software is essential for managing employee and contractor payments
inside the organization. This program is capable of calculating salary and tax deductions for each and
every employee in the organization. Invoice and invoicing software is another critical piece of software
for businesses. The program is simple to use and can manage a variety of transactions in their everyday
operations. You only need to add the client's specific details from the database, and the invoice is ready to
be delivered to the clients.

2. Find an example and explain (10pts).

- Google Chrome is a cross-platform web browser that was created by Google. The browser is also a key
component of Chrome OS, acting as a platform for web apps. Although the majority of Chrome's source
code is derived from Google's free and open-source software project Chromium, Chrome is licensed as
proprietary freeware. The open-source Chromium project serves as the foundation for the Google Chrome
Web browser. Google Chrome was introduced in 2008, and it receives many upgrades each year. It is
compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, Android, and iOS. The Google Chrome browser
approaches Web security through sandboxing. Each open webpage operates as its own process, which
helps prevent malicious malware from impacting other pages (or the computer operating system at large).
Web standards such as HTML5 and cascading style sheets are also supported by the browser (CSS).
Google designed Chrome OS, an operating system for Web-based apps, to appear like the Chrome Web
browser. Chrome was the first major Web browser to merge the search box with the address bar, a feature
that has subsequently been copied by other competitors. Users may also sign in using their Google
accounts, allowing them to sync bookmarks and open Web sites across different devices. Google created
the Chrome Web Store in 2010, an online marketplace where users can purchase and install Web-based
programs that run within the browser. These programs are accessible as browser extensions or as website
links.
