CASE STUDY #2
“Sumunod na lang kayo, sa halip na magreklamo.” These are some of the words of those who
are resisting people from complaining to the protocols implemented by the government at the
onset of nationwide lockdown in March 2020 due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. That is
because many people are violating the rules and are not following regulations. However, other
would say that following the rules is insufficient to participate in the government. People,
who are the constituents of the state, must recognize their role in dealing with several issues
that the government cannot resolve.

Is it enough to just follow the rules of the state, or can the people intervene in dealing
with the government concerning such “unjust” practices and regulations?

In every corner of your place, there are rules, even in a lot of games there are rules. We
live in a world with rules. We all experience the oppressive presence of rules, each written and
unwritten, it is nearly a rule of life. Public spaces, organizations, dinner parties, even
relationships, and informal conversations are rife with policies and bureaucratic procedure that
apparently are there to dictate our every move. Rules are regulations the people need to follow
whether games, personal life, and government. The most vital rules that people need to follow
are the Government’s rules to maintain good citizenship, civil behavior, being organized, more
harmony in the community.
In the Philippines, ever since I was born in this country, I saw a lot of people who are
against the government that’s why you can’t see peace in this country. When COVID-19 start in
the Philippines, the Philippine Government implement the total lockdown in every part of the
Philippines for the sake of its constituents. But its results of bad impact on other people because
they will suffer from poverty and lose jobs.
The laws are made by the government and every citizen have to follow these laws. According to
these laws, a government can function and make decision and vests with power to enforce
these laws. The government needs to make rules for everyone in the form of law because by
doing so people can obey rule and thus the nation as a whole leads a secure life.
