AJ opened the forum for discussion on “Curriculum
Review” of BS, M.A and MPhil. Agenda of the
meeting was discussed as a review of curriculum
may result in possible programmatic adjustments in
curriculum course goals, objectives, and student
learning outcomes as well as assessment and the All Department Members
overall program which will bring about
improvement in students’ academic English language
learning and fulfill the mission of the
program.
B Process of curriculum Review
The committee discussed the process that would be
used for the review of course attributes in the light of All Department Members
agreed to hold a
HEC’s revised curriculum.

 Who is responsible for the collection?
 How the committee determines that a specific course
fulfills its attribute outcomes?
 How often do courses need to be reviewed?
  Archival process of course materials and results.
 Process to communicate results to departments and
faculty.
 Needed action when courses fail to meet attribute
outcomes?
C NM highlighted that to reorganize Scheme of Studies
and to create an updated version of syllabus
breakdown. In this regard, 80 to 90% of the course All Department Members
outline prescribed by HEC needs to be followed.
However 10% flexibility on the part of the instructor
is allowed as per HEC policy.
D The committee coordinators representing the three
divisions of all English Courses NM (Linguistics), FY
(Language) and SM (Literature) suggested all the All Department Members
department members to prepare the updated review
reports of the allotted courses and submit it before the
commencement of classes.

The meeting adjourned at 12:00 p.m. The next meeting will be held a week before Mid Term Exam for
coordination and paper setting discussion.
