WRITTEN ACTIVITY FOR THE MIDTERM ASYNCHRONOUS SESSION

1. How do you find yourself in terms of physical aspect? (Answer in 100 words)

- I find myself in terms of physical aspects by defining what I feel and see towards my body
image. There is a time that they will ask me how I define myself and what comes to my
mind, and maybe just not me, that to define myself is also to describe myself, to describe
my appearance. That’s why when that question throws to me my immediate response is to
picture out what I look like, I tell my height, my weight, my body shape, my skin color and
even the length of my hair. And with that I can tell that to find what I am is to find a mirror
that will reflect who I am.

2. How is your self-esteem affected by the opinion of: (Answer in 100 words for the whole
discussion of #2)
a. your classmates/friends
b. family/relatives
c. social platforms

- They say that self-esteem is all about how much you believe you are worth and how much
you presume your value. And sometimes we get that if others or the people around us make
us feel good about ourselves. Self-esteem is always linked to our body image or to our
physical self, which is always affected by the environment we’re in. Why is it affected? One
word, comparison. People around us can’t help but compare our physical appearance to
someone who looks better, or should I say, more beautiful. They keep saying things like the
word they say is not a dagger that kills someone confidence. Their words matter, their
comments mean a lot, because in my situation, I used to be confident if I felt accepted by
the people around me, if they made me feel valued.

3. What do you do to make you love your physical body more? (answer in 50 words)

- I do self-meditation. Because self-mediation helps me to know myself more, it helps me to

love myself more and accept who I really am. It helps me to realize some things, like I don't
need to change the way I look for the sake of the acceptance of the people around me. I
realize that all I need to do is change the way I see my body and how I think about myself.
