The message levi Celerio convey in his song is that animals same to us have feelings and we
should be cruel to them cause like us they also have feelings and family. But levi Celerino
song have also a deep meaning, the song also speaks to all people that is being abuse by
other people that has more power and superior than them. It is the same in our Philippine
history that we are being abused and colonized by other countries that is bigger and more
powerful than our own. Our country that being abused and abandoned.

The students interpret the song by using 1 acoustic guitar, utensil and use instruments that
are not commonly used. They also made the vibe sentimental and that the reason why they
interpret the song as a sentimental song.

What I Have Learned


Directions: Reflect on what you have learned on the use of multimedia formats in interpreting
literary texts. On your Facebook wall, post your thoughts on how multimedia makes studying
literature more exciting and meaningful.

In answering and understanding my module I see myself excited. Being diligent to my


work motivates me to understand the unknown lesson. Even that the lesson in this module is
few I’d learned a lot of things. In lesson I’ve learned that literary texts can be interpreted in
many formats of multimedia, which are blog, mind mapping, mobile phone text tula,
slideshow presentation, video and tag cloud. I’d also learned that this multimedia formats
can be use to creatively interpret various genres of literary texts.

Multimedia makes studying literature more exciting because it is dynamic and has
diverse platform of information. Multimedia refers to the presentation of meaningful
information through a combination of graphics, audio, text or video, which make it
interesting for learning purpose. Multimedia also provides opportunities for learners to
construct and reconstruct ideas in audio and visual formats. Lastly the multimedia is help
student to learn a lot of information while being entertained.

2. Interview people about their experiences during the Martial Law.

Every one of us has memories in life that is very unforgettable. My personal experience
which is related to the picture below is back then when I was a child; I used to play this
patintero game with my friends. This game was very enjoyable but always ends me up in a
fight. I still remembered those days when my lola punished because of violating her
instruction and always getting home late. I’d love this game so much that it kept me
continues in violating my lola’s instruction. I know it was wrong and I had already suffered a
lot of consequences because of what I had done.

Aside from patintero a lot of kalye games had made my childhood awesome. I really miss
those enjoyable moments in my life. I am thankful that I grow up playing kalye games and not
today’s computer games. Seeing this picture below me make me misses my childhood days.

1.) Actually, dilang ako nakatagpo,kasama ko nun si KB, kaming dalawa. Nakita naming si
Kesz na natutulog sa harapan ng convenient store. Nagkaroon ako ng compassion, si KB na
tulungan si Kesz. Kasi ano eh, sinisipa-sipa siya nung mga dumadaan, tapos puro sugat pa
yung ulo nya tapos wala syang damit.
2.) Ahh nung una kaming nagtulak ng kariton,talagang ano, Maraming negative reactions
yung mga narereceive namin. Talagang minumura kami sa kalye, tapos pinagtatawanan
kami. Binabato kami, so hindi maganda yung pagtanggap sa amin.

3.) Tapos nung pumasok itong CNN Hero. Turn around talaga yung reaction, maraming
nasiyahan, maraming nag-approve. Sabi naman sa min ni KB nun "Oh yan na ah kilala na
yung mga ginagawa nyo sikat na kayo, maraming kumikilala sa inyo nawag naman kayong
magtutulak ng kariton na nakataas ang noo. Just continue kung ano yung ginagawa mong
mabuti".

1. In the first part of the video, we are introduced to Efren Peñaflorida, 2009 CNN Hero of the
Year. To whom does he compare his friend and mentor, KB Manalaysay?

Efren Peñaflorida compare his mentor or friend to a Salbabida.

2. What does he mean by this comparison?

He means that KB is like a salbabida because KB is a life saver and he helps others who need
help.

3. What was Efren’s problem when KB met him? How was the latter able to help him?

Efren’s problem when KB met him is he did not want to go to school because he was being
bullied and always think of revenge. KB did not taught Efren to fight back instead he taught
him be a salbabida or to help others, too.

4. How has KB’s simple act of kindness affected Efren? How was it able to affect not only Efren
but many other kids like Kesz, for example?

Because of KB’s kindness Efren was inspired and he helped others including Kesz , after kesz
mindset change and he wanted also to help KB and Efren in their mission. They started
“Kariton Klasrum” to help people.

5. What do you think is the message of the video? What lesson does it want to share to the
viewers?

On every mission we have there is always a discouragement to follow so don’t give of what
you’re, especially if you want to help other people. Everyone can be a salbabida and can help
others in need.
What I Have Learned

I’ve learned a lot things throughout this lesson; things that can help me not just to pass the
subject but also in my future. The first day this lesson had given to us I had mix of emotions,
excitement and stress. Even that the lesson in this module is few I’d learned a lot of things. In
this lesson I’ve learned that Applying ICT skills make me appreciate studying anecdotes better
because I can easily use computer to search information about interesting story of a person
or anecdote. An anecdote is a short entertaining story about a real incident or person. In this
lesson I’ve also learned that ICT skill is helpful in making individual capable in preserving and
storing anecdotes in multimedia formats. ICT helps in inculcating 21st Century skills.

In observing our lesson I’d realized that using multimedia in interpreting literary texts help
us to understand and learn more. It can also give an idea to all readers and even writers.
Multimedia formats can be use to creatively interpret various genres of literary texts. Also it
can motivate student to enhance their learnings.
What I Can Do
Directions: Read again the selection “Home of the Ashfall” written by John Jack Wigley. On your
Facebook wall, share your own experiences during a calamity or disaster, including how you
handled the situation. End your story with a slogan about the importance of disaster
preparedness. Invite your FB friends to give comments on your post.

Surigao Earthquake occurred on February 10, 2017 at 10:03 pm, with a surface magnitude
of 6.7. Based on the agency the epicenter of the 6.7 magnitude earthquake was at 9.80˚N
125.35˚N or 16 kilometers, North West of Surigao City. The earthquake was tectonic of origin.
A lot of people that time shouting for help.

That moment I was in my room sleeping, and then I woke up hearing my family shouting
and praying to God. That time I felt a high intensity earthquake. In that night I saw my
grandmother foot being damage because the T.V fell down to his right foot. That night I felt
fear, fear to die because of that earthquake. After that the earthquake suddenly stops, so I
and my family go outside the house so that we will be safe. Outside the house I saw a lot
people murmuring and blaming others saying “it’s their fault because they had sinned to God
and they always drink alcohol. Back then I was scared seeing my fellow barangay citizen
blaming their friends and even their family. That day was very unforgettable.

A week later after the earthquake a lot of roads and establishment had been damage. A lot
of people went to the barangay hall to get relief goods. Some of them already move on and
some of them did not. That calamity really affects the surigaonons way of living. Even though
that event happens, I am still thankful to God that I am one of the survivors of that calamity.

This calamity had a big impact in our lives. Maybe some of the survivors still fell fear
because of that traumatic event. This event gives us lesson that we must always be alert on
every calamity events. This event teaches us to think logical in every emergency or
unpredictable situation.

“You can survive all things as long as you trust God and as long as you’re prepared for every
situation.”
